This chapter is not necessary for the story, and does not need to be read.

Inuyasha is a prince on both sides of his family. His mother was a princess of a wealthy province, and his father was Lord of the West. Despite this, he was raised as an outcast, then later on an orphan. We get brief glimpses of what Inuyasha would have been like if he was raised the prince he is.

Let's start with his mother. She raised him until she died, and was his only parent. From Swords of an Honorable Ruler you can clearly see that her father had many troops for his army, and many courtiers. Izayoi was also always dressed in nice clothes. Her father had plenty of resources to train, educate, and take care of Inuyasha.

Inuyasha was never accepted for his heritage, and shortly after his mother's death Inuyasha was thrown out of his home at a very young age. As his only parent we can assume that she was the one to teach her son the manners I will be describing in future chapters

Now, for his father: Inu No Taisho was the original Lord of the West. He died protecting Inuyasha and his mother shortly after he was born. This was mostly the cause that made Sesshomaru hate him so much. Because of his early death, Taisho is not a major character in the series.

I need motivation to write, so the more comments the more likely I am to actually post more chapters.
