"SGT Criss?!" A young man shouts out.

Sgt. Darren Criss of the U.S Army turns around.

"Lieutenant?" Darren says as he stops where he stands waiting for the young lieutenant to come forth.

"Letter for you sir!"

"Thank you" Darren says as he takes the letter from the man.

As it was a break for everyone to gather their things and put them on the trucks. Darren finds a rock to sit on and read a letter from a familiar person. Darren takes a deep breath and opens the letter and begins to read it.

Dear Darren,

It's been a while since I wrote you a letter and I am really sorry about that. I just haven't been able to get my pen to touch the paper. I really REALLY miss you Darren and I don't know what to do here without you. All I can think about is that Day during summer vacation that the two of us met. That day has forever changed my life.

Darren my life isn't the same without you in it and I really don't know what to do anymore. However, we promised each other that we would write each other everything that happens. I am keeping that promise I just wish you were actually here to share them with me.

I miss you Darren, Please come home safely.

With all my love,

Jessica

Darren mans up and holds back the tears before they surface. He then grabs a scrap sheet of paper and a pen and begins to write a letter back.

"lieutenant!" He shouts as he seals the letter up

"Yes Sir!?"

"Make sure this gets into the mail today.'' As he hands the letter to him.

"Yes Sir!"

The two of them salute and off the man runs with the letter. Darren just sighs and gets back to what he needs to do.
