Pretty
Disclaimer: I do not own Demon Diary or any of its characters.
A/N: This is my first DD fic, so I apologize if anyone's out of character here. I plan on writing quite a few more DD stories (RaexEclipse mainly) so please do let me know if I should change anything.
"Well, now that we have finished a review of what we covered yesterday, are you prepared for today's lesson?"
The sunlight fell into the room through an open window, spreading its warmth onto the young demon lord and his teacher. The blond master nodded.
"I'm ready, Eclipse."
"Good," the mentor replied, opening his book to the lesson he had planned for Lord Raenef today.
Raenef listened intently to him for the first few seconds of the lesson, then, as always, his mind began to wander. He was listening to the chirping of the birds then noticed another sound—the whacking of Chris practicing his swordplay on a tree. He started subconsciously tapping his finger along to the rhythm until it was broken by Erutis' voice.
"Swing harder, monk boy! Come on!"
Raenef closed his eyes and giggled. He felt kind of sorry for Chris; being taught by Erutis couldn't be very easy. But then, neither was being taught by Eclipse. His eyes quickly opened at the sound of the window being shut, cutting out the sounds of Chris' training session. He gulped at the sight of Eclipse staring firmly at him through slightly narrowed eyes.
"Perhaps now there will be no more distractions," he said with an eyebrow raise.
"Sorry—I mean, how dare you admonish me—"
"SHALL we continue with our lesson, my liege?"
Raenef smiled sheepishly and nodded. He settled down in his seat as Eclipse resumed his lecturing stance before him. He was determined to pay attention this time, focusing everything on Eclipse. What a mistake that was. He was soon captivated by everything about his mentor, all except what he was saying. Eclipse was...pretty, he decided. He would come up with more, better adjectives later when he had more time; longer, nicer adjectives that his mentor would be proud of. But for now, he was stuck on that fact. Eclipse was pretty. Raenef's eyes examined the older demon with an intensity that almost hurt—the poise in his posture and the elegance of his clothing, the smooth-looking texture of his revealed upper body, his silken ebony hair that fell around his face and draped across his shoulder, his slender fingers that silently turned the pages of his book, his garnet red eyes that gleamed with seriousness, and his mouth... Raenef watched his mouth move as he spoke, his lips forming perfect words. He blushed as he wondered what it would be like to be...kissed by those lips. He got a tingly sensation when he thought about that...he liked the way it felt. So he imagined some more...
Meanwhile, Eclipse himself was losing his train of thought. He was pleased when it had seemed Raenef had been listening, but he was staring at him so intently. His gaze, plus his flushing face, was making Eclipse feel uncomfortable. Nonetheless, it sent a pleasant shiver down his spine. He was beginning to like the feeling of the young lord's eyes on him and might have let him continue...until those eyes closed and a quiet snore escaped his master. Eclipse frowned, all good feelings gone. He gripped the book tightly, and then dropped it roughly on the blond head.
"Lord Raenef!"
"Oww! Eclipse, I'm sorry! I mean, how dare you admonish me, vermin?!"
"...sigh..."
-End-
So, Whatcha think? As said before, I'm new at DD fanfics; in fact I've only read Vol. 1. I've learned about most of the other stuff and people (Erutis, Chris, Krayon, the thieves guild, Leeche) from fanfiction and sites. But, of course, I'm always looking for more info. So if there is anything at all that you can tell me that's important to the storyline or the characters, please tell me!
