Disclaimer: I don't earn money with doing it. This is just for fun. The characters belong to Catherine Jinks and her novels. Please honor her writing with reading her books before you enjoy this story, cause the plot starts where the last book "Evil Wars" ends.
Everybody tried to comfort him as they gentle touched him on his shoulders, but nothing seemed to touch his broken heart. Cadel felt lost. Also he didnt admit it, but Prosper was like his other half. When Prosper was cruel and cold, Cadel tried not to break the rules and avoid problems. But now its like half of his soul was lost. Not only that, it seemed like his past, his whole beeing, vanished with only one blink of an eye. Everythings crumbled down on him like the roof of the house they used to live in. This thought gave him another painful memory. His past and his future. Both no more within his reach. The feeling of helplessness overtook him. He had the feeling of choking from every breath he took. "Shhh... Cadel, honey! Calm down.", Fiona gently wrapped her hands around him.
No. He cant be respectless. So many persons around him would stand by his side. His mind was racing like a rabbit. He couldnt focus on his true feelings, cause it changed from one thought to another. Oneside, it was good that Prosper isnt around anymore, but on the other side, he was over a long amount of time the closest of beeing a father for Cadel. Prosper didnt want to harm him, he just tested him. He liked that he was trusted to live throw this little tests. But he was still angry that Prosper English didnt respectet his feelings towards his friends. Cadel calmed down a little bit. He cursed himself for not beeing able to switch off his feelings like a monitor screen. A last tear found its way across his cheek as he leant back in his seat and they drove to Judiths house in pure silence.
