Fabian and Nina were searching through papers for clues, hints, or an indication to prove their theories. Fabian was on his bed, hunched over a book, while Nina was on the floor, searching through the scattered pieces of paper. For two hours, they've done this in silence, ocassionally speaking if the have a hint, but otherwise being quiet. Nina would turn her head to glance over her shoulder to look at him, and he was the same as he was two hours ago- head in a book. She turned back around to the paper in her hand, fixing her eyes on it, but not really paying attention to it. Nina loved to do this with him, but days like this when he was close to finding something, he was always deep in thought, which meant he was staying in his mind for a while. She to catch his attention.
Nina got up from the floor, with the paper still in her hand, "Hey Fabian look at this". He looks, tearing his eyes away from the book in his lap. She sits beside him on the bed, handing him the paper. Fabian pushes his glasses up his nose, inspecting the paper. He said, "We could use this Nina, where did you find it?", Nina pointed to the strew of papers on the ground. He laughed, "Oh that". Fabian continued looking at the paper when Nina reached up to his face, and slid the glasses of his face. Fabian looked up at Nina and said,"You know i need those". She smiled, "No you don't".
He turned back to the sheet. Nina reached in his lap and grabbed to book, bending the corner of the page to hold its place, then closing it, and putting it on the other side of her. Fabian, noticing what she was doing, cleared his throat, "I think you were right about this; its leading us right to it".
"Uhm-hum", she hummed leaning into his neck.
Fabian closed his eyes, "Um, Nina?"
Nina started kissing him, moving up to his jaw, "Yes"
Fabian sighed, "Oh never mind", and pushed the paper away to grab her face, when someone walked into the room.
"Whoa", Eddie said when he say the the two. Fabian and Nina pushed themselves away from each other, embarrassed.
"I just,... dinners ready, whenever you guys are...ok", he said, leaving the room. Fabian and Nina looked at each other and laughed.
"Come on", Fabian held out his hand for her, and they left the room for dinner. When they sat at the table, Eddie must've told the others of what happened, because they recieved glances and chuckles.
