These Girls are Going to Kill Me
Ron Weasley was perfectly happy to say that he had grown out his childish phase of attention seeking, thank you very much. Perhaps it was the fact that he'd simply grown up and realized how silly he'd been; more likely it was the fact that he'd seen what fame had done to his best friend, Harry Potter. Harry could not walk out his front door without being surrounded by paparazzi. Ron, on the other hand, could go into Diagon Alley, and he had a very slim chance of being recognized.
One bright, beautiful, spring day Ron ventured into London with his best friend. Harry had asked Ron to come with him to help pick out an engagement ring for Ginny, and Ron figured it was as good of a time as any to pick out a ring for Hermione as well.
As Ron and Harry stepped into the small Muggle jewelry shop Ron could sense someone staring at them. Assuming they were just looking at Harry, he went about his business picking out the perfect ring for Hermione.
Just as Ron paid for his purchase a young woman yelled out, "OMG! It's Ed Sheeran!" Before he knew it, he was being bombarded by people asking for his autograph, snapping his photograph, and begging him to sing a song. He had no idea where all the people had come from or how they all fit into the cramped jewelry shop. He was barely able to elbow his way out of the store without losing his temper. Outside the store Harry, who had also managed to escape, was laughing hysterically, "these girls are going to kill me Harry!" Ron exclaimed.
"Now you see what it's like for me!" Harry guffawed loudly. Ron merely made a rude hand gesture at Harry, and quickly dove into a nearby alley to disapparate.
The very next day, splashed across the British tabloids was a picture showing a very confused Ron Weasley holding an engagement ring, the caption below read: ED SHEERAN TO BE MARRIED!
