A/N: Hey! I know I haven't updated "Hello, Megan!" in a while but I have no current inspiration for that fic seeing as though it's summer and "Hello, Megan!" takes place within the school year. I'll try to update it more but I just don't want to force the story. Anyway, lately I've come up with all of these crazy AU ideas (because AU's are my favorite) and while watching Sharknado this just popped into my mind. I hope you like it and hopefully I can finish this by the end of the summer. This chapter is really short but it's more like a really bad prologue, tell me what you think! Thanks!
Summer Break.
It felt like forever to get there, but it was worth it. Dick Grayson looked at his friends and smiled.
Today is the day.
Today, May 23rd, was the day their summer long road-trip began, and he'd be lying if he said he was anything was ecstatic. The 19-year-old knew that this could possibly be one of the worst ideas he ever had but right now he didn't care because his best friends were loading the back of his dad's old suburban and getting ready for one of the craziest ideas he ever had.
"Hey, Dick! You gonna help us or just stand there looking pretty?" Artemis hollered from the trunk, helping Conner load Megan's suitcase.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm coming!" he said making his way over.
All six of them had a backpack and either a duffel or medium-sized suitcase. All except Kaldur. While every one of them tried to persuade him into coming with them, Kaldur was adamant on visiting his friends and family back in Atlanta, Georgia. The guy hadn't seen them since before the fall semester and the "atlanteans", as Wally dubbed them, were so important to him that the friends eventually gave in, though not easily. Today, after dropping Kaldur off at the LAX, they were going to officially start their road trip.
On the list of places they would go was, of course, Vegas, Alcatraz, a few of the greatest water parks in America, and restaurants that they were sure Wally could eat out. Megan made a list of the places everyone wanted to go and the GPS was marked and ready to go. Kaldur even helped them map out the route on a traditional paper map in case the GPS spazzed out.
Once they finished up loading the trunk they left the campus and headed for the airport. The five friends waved toward Kaldur as he stepped through the metal detectors, Dick yelling at him to say 'Hi' to NeNe Leakes for him. Kaldur just smiled and waved and prayed to whatever was out there that his friends didn't end up on 'America's Most Wanted'. As the five young adults piled back into the suv, they all looked the same. Even Conner, Mr. Show no emotions, was smiling. Megan put the keys in the ignition and drove out of the parking lot, and onto the freeway.
It was the beginning to a story that would be remembered for years as they met new friends along the way and learned things about themselves and each other that they never knew. The trip even started some of the greatest relationships they had ever had.
Just in case I get all of things wrong, which is highly possible seeing as how I am only a fifteen year old girl, I would really appreciate feed back on things like college experiences and landmarks and places you think the five of them would like to see! So if you guys could just suggest some places it would be much appreciated. Thank you for reading!
