Chp. 1: The Scay Situation
Emma was laying on her bed when she was checking her calendar and realized she was three days late. She started to panick and imediately called Rosie. "Rosie, i'm three days late and i'm so scared." Emma said as she started to cry. "Dont worry Em, i'm going to the drugstore right now to get you some tests. Tell Jessie we are seeing a movie and come over." Rosie said. "Ok, thanks Rosie, you're such a good friend". Emma said. "Whatever happens we will get through it together." Rosie said sincerely. "Thanks Rosie." Emma said. Emma went downstairs and told Jessie she and Rosie were going to see a movie. Jessie didn't question her. Emma met Rosie at the traintracks in front of Rosies house. "You ready?" Rosie asked. "I kind of have to be." Emma said. Sitting in the bathroom waiting, Emma starts to remember all the things her and her ex boyfriend had been through. Rosie hugs her as she starts to cry. "Well, it's time." Emma says. The two girls both looked at all three test, which were positive. It had hit Emma harder than anything ever had before that she was going to be a single mother. "I really hope Jessie and my parents will be supportive." Emma says. Emma returns home to find Jessie on the couch strumming on her guitar. "Jessie, can I talk to you?" Emma asked. "Sure, what is it?" Jessie said. "Well, im not gonna beat around the bush im just going to say it-" Emma took a deep breath. "- i'm pregnant." Jessie took a breath and placed her hand on her forehead. "Emma, how could you? We have raised you to wait until you're married and stable. How could you just go off and do that? After all these years of teaching you abstinence is key." Jessie ranted on. "Jessie I know you're disappointed and I know this was a mistake but if you could just listen to me for 5 seconds" Emma pleaded. "Emma I cant even look at you right now. Just go to your room." Jessie demanded.
"Ugh, youre being so unfair!" Emma yelled. "Emma, in this circumstance I cant exactly be fair!" Emma screams and storms upstairs, as she does Zuri comes downstairs. "Jessie, what's going on?" Zuri asked. "Nothing sweetie. Emmas just going through a tough time." Jessie said comforting Zuri.
