Hey, everyone. I'm here introducing a new clerith series titled 'Slice of Strife'. This is a ever-going story that features Cloud and Aerith as a married couple. The story will vary in each chapter (unless important issues with the plot arise) sort of like a family sitcom show. My goal with this is to just show Cloud and Aerith happily married and what they go through in their 'Slice of Life' (did you notice the play on words with Strife and Life?). Some chapters will be comedic, some might be sad, and others might deal with serious issues. I'm not sure what each chapter will be about and I think that's where most of the fun is at. So, if you're a fan of a happy-ending for Clerith, please follow this story for the upcoming chapters.
I'm still completing my first (season) of chapters, but they should be up sometime soon. My goal is to have at least 10 Chapters up by February (sort of like a season for a tv show). I'll update the story with a chapter (episode) a week. So by sometime in April, the last chapter of this season will be out and then I'll take a few months off to write 10 (or so) more chapters and then the second season of chapters' publish dates will be announced.
Here's the thing, I'm not yet sure if I should make them in our real life world (as in, Earth as we know it) or make them in Gaia (with magic and whatnot). I see a lot of potential with making this story set in Gaia still, but on the other hand, I am also really fascinated with putting these characters in our world. If I decide to put them in our world and incorporate plots from the real story, I will put 'human' spins on certain plot devices from the game's story or make sure to symbolize them in some way (I.E., Cloud served in the military instead of Shinra). I'm still figuring that part out but I'm not worried about it. However, if I keep them in their world, I will either end up retconing certain parts of the story to explain why and how Aerith's alive (I'll also slightly alter other parts as well).
Lastly, I intend on including all of the original cast (not just Cloud and Aerith) as well as original characters that will be my own.
