Arcee set down the datapad, shutting it off with a sigh. She was reluctant to go into recharge, knowing the nightmares that would follow.

"Cliff!"
Arcee sat up, and found herself gasping. as her fans sucked in air desperately. Tears began to fall down her face, slowly at first, but increasing to a cascade of droplets.

"Arcee?"
Arcee looked down at Jack. "Yes?"
"Are-are you okay?" Jack stuttered a little, as he looked up at his guardian and partner.
No. "I'm fine, Jack." Arcee smiled, before transforming. "It's time to get you home. June will be worried."
Jack nodded, climbing onto Arcee. Quickly, he put his helmet on, and they were off.

Sometimes,she just needed to drive.
Today had been a stressful day for them all. Smokescreen had almost died, and they all thought that he had. Arcee had already lost two partners, she wasn't ready to add a rookie to that list.
Sighing, and now aware that she was away from prying eyes (read: humans), Arcee transformed, and sighed. Smokescreen had survived. He was okay.
Maybe, things would turn out alright.
