The United States Hunger Games

The US begins holding 100 tribute Hunger Games, a boy and girl from each state. Will Ben, the male tribute from Washington State, survive the 1st Annual Hunger Games?

"…and I'm am happy to conclude," said newly elected President Malone. "That the United States of America will begin holding annual hunger games!"

I can't breathe. My eyes widen in shock as I hear my mother gasp. Everyone has seen the movie. Everyone knows that hunger games are brutal fights to the death between twenty-four children until only one remains alive. At least, that was what we thought.

"But these hunger games won't be entirely the same as in the famous movie. Instead of twenty-four tributes, there will be one hundred tributes! A male and female from each state between the ages of twelve and eighteen. But other than that, the games are almost identical to the movie. The games will end when there is only one tribute still alive."
