Author Note: Another Sly Cooper Ancestor story, this time Tennessee 'Kid' Cooper.
Roughly trying to consider this around the time 1880s. The Cooper Gang went to his time in 1884.
this story has been around since 2015 just took me awhile to finally post it here. Also bad countyism?
Chapter 1: Desert Beauty
Cross the open desert to a small town among the canyons in Western American States nearing the 1880s, all seems quiet as the sun reached its peak until...
"Yee haw!" a ring-tailed figure quickly lept, fleeing out the roof-top from the local bank, his hat nearly flown off his head avoiding sudden gunshots, quickly he grabbed it placed it back on his head. "That sure was a close one. Now time to hightail it outta here faster then a rattlesnake strike."
Instantly he dashed off as some fellow locals tried going after him, all after the price for his capture dead or alive. His name... Tennessee Kid Cooper.
As the day had nearly drawn to its close, the sun setting beyond the canyons, Tennessee kicked the door opened to his place, he took a seat by the table and kicked his feet up going through his loot bag.
"Wooh wee, today's grab was great, so gotta do this-again?" He stopped as his ears turned toward a sound of a train whistle blowing.
He stood up and looked out the window seeing a train to the station. Tennessee lifted his hat up lightly confused. "A train this late? There shouldn't be any train shipments for another few days..."
He lightly shivered and smile soon crossed his face. "That special little itch is telling me to go check this thing out."
Tennessee snatched up his cane revolver and lept out the window to the rooftop below and headed down to the station. Carefully he wondered down sticking high to the rooftops and stopped to seeing a crowd of people around the station.
"What in tarnation?"
Tennessee continued on getting a little closer standing on top of the roof of the station staring down to the train seeing the local sheriff was greeting a stylish fella soon after a young fox lady of sand colored fur stepped of the train.
Tennessee's jaw suddenly dropped, shaking his head to regain self-control. "W-whoa, she's a pretty gal. Wonder what a gal like her doing here in this crumby town?"
With that he decided to keep up with them and the crowd to a bit of a party they were holding for their arrivals. He kept an eye around for anything going on, and was getting an itch to wanting to pick a few pockets, but with the number of people there it wasn't the best idea. Soon he spotted the fox gal from the train, continuously watching her he began to realize something...
"Gal doesn't seem to happy to party." Tennessee said to himself soon adding on to as a bunch of the local guys began to surround her. "Now the poor girl is surrounded like a mouse in a snake pit."
He gave a big huff angered, not knowing why so concerned, but watched more as she basically just walked away from them heading outside alone. One of Tennessee's ears twitched as he decided to follow after her since no one else did taking it as an opportunity to meet this little lady.
As the night began to grow darker the fox's ears backed, lowering her head and letting out a sigh. " Why must have I came to such a town known for its bandits and outlaws..."
"Actually miss it can be quite peaceful in this lil town." Tennessee said and walked out over to her.
The vixen jumped and turned quickly to him giving a small glare.
Tennessee jumped to her reaction. "I didn't mean to startle you. And I mean no harm."
He walked up to her, bowing, and tilted his hat. "Name's Tennessee, Ma'am."
She straightened up, crossing her arms in disbelief and raised an eyebrow. "Tennessee? Ah, so those posters were of you, aren't they? You're the reason my father been called here."
"A daughter of an outta town Sheriff? Never expected this to happen." Tennessee said and was suddenly instantly caught off guard, as he was grabbed and tossed to the ground being pinned. "W-whoa! You're a fast gal, arent you? You really caught me off surprised."
He gave a small smirk, but she pulled on his arm hurting him and got close to his face growling lightly. "Just cause I'm a gal, doesn't mean I cant do anything..."
After backing his ears from her getting close, he soon realized she loosened her gripping smirking again, he moved pushing her off and grabbed her pinning her to the railings but kept her close.
"And unlike those pack of cyotes, I can be a real charming fellow. I'll even show you a night out on the town. What do ya say, Lil Missy?" He asked and smiled.
She stared at him for a moment, turning away giving a tiny huff, hiding that fact a light blush also crossed her face. "I may consider.
She pushed him away lightly and walked past heading back in seemingly teasing. "Night outlaw~"
Tennesse chuckled to himself. "Boy she's feisty."
