Prologue

"Harry go get Sirius out of the tower. I dropped my grandmother's bracelet in the forest and I desperately need to go find it. I'll meet you back at the hospital wing in exactly 45 minutes."

"Hermione are you sure you don't want me to help you real quick?"

"Yes, you need to get Sirius and Buckbeak out of here before they are both executed. Trust me I'll be fine."

With that Hermione went back into the forest while Harry took Buckbeak up to Sirius' tower.

It took Hermione a couple minutes to walk back to the spot she thought her bracelet would be. She made sure her wand light was bright enough to see the ground with, but not so bright that she would be noticed. After a couple minutes of searching with no result Hermione double checked to make sure she was at the right tree. She found the spot where Buckbeak had nipped at with his beak. She was certain this is where she lost it. She tried one of advanced summoning charms she had found in a charms book, "Accio bracelet." Nothing. She must have done it wrong. She cast a spell to check the time. She only had fifteen minutes and decided it would be better to get back safely. After only a few steps everything went cold, the ground was frozen and Hermione had the chills. Hermione looked around and saw two dementors getting closer. Her wand was shaking violently in her hand as her worst memories and self -doubt filled her mind. Too late she tried to cast expecto patronum, nothing came out of her wand. When the dementors were no more than two feet away, a peacock patronus came between her and the dementors. The peacock started walking towards the dementors, who flew away as soon as they took in what the peacock was. The peacock turned back to Hermione and dropped her bracelet at her feet.

"Thank you," Hermione chocked out as loud as she could.

The peacock disappeared as suddenly as it had appeared. Hermione was still recovering from shock when she remembered why she was there in the first place. As she was hurrying back to the castle she saw a flash of silver hair.

"Draco?" she whispered hoarsely to herself.

A/N Please tell me if you think I should continue or if I have mistakes. I know it's short but I got the idea during a 3 hour car ride today and all I had to write it with was my tiny iPod touch. Also I will try to update once a week but I am taking two AP classes, and two sciences, Pre Calc and some other easier classes
