"Stay close by Rosie." Hermione said to her daughter cautiously as she stroked her young
child's face. "I will Mommy." The little girl responded and kissed her mother's cheek. Hermione let go
of her daughters hand and let her go play. Before she knew it Rose was running toward the other side
of the playground. Hermione goes to run after her but her husband of five years stops her. "Let her
play." Ron says as her holds his wife and they watch their daughter frolic through tall grass while her
short crimson red curls bounce gently after her. Across the playground the little carrot top sparked
someone else's attention. On the other side of the playground was a little blonde boy sitting at an old
picnic table watching her with fascination. While a woman with midnight black hair argued and yelled
at a tall blonde man who was very well dressed. The young boy was certainly not dressed for a
playground. He looked at his parents, who weren't paying any attention, then got up and walked over
to the swings where the girl with bright red curls, deep blue eyes and freckles all across her face was
swinging high above the earth. He stood next to the swings as close as her could without getting hit.
The girl slowed down and eventually came to a stop, got off her swing and stared at the boy and
insisted he tell her why he was dressed so funny. The boy didn't have an answer. Rose looked at him
suspiciously for awhile and then smiled. "I'm Rose." She said "My name is Scorpius. Scorpius Malfoy."
He said and extended his hand. Rose smiled and giggled. "I like you. Your weird." She said as they
walked to the slide. Rose wanted Scorpius to go down first, so he did. He reached the bottom of the
slide where the tall blonde man now stood. He picked Scorpius up and said it was time to leave and
that he could no longer play with the filthy little blood-traitor anymore. Rose went back to her
Mommy and Daddy, sat on her father's lap and demanded to know what a "filthy little blood-traitor"
was. "Who would say such a thing?" Hermione asked Ron. Before Ron could answer Rose said "The
bad man over there." And pointed at the man who took Scorpius away, who was none other than
Draco Malfoy.
