Shinji stretched and rolled around. "What are you doing?" he asked tiredly as he watched Sanada rummage through a drawer in the wardrobe. Sanada jumped and looked as if he'd been caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Shinji couldn't help but smile at the thought, and Sanada frowned. "Something funny?" the older man laughed. Shinji nodded, then told Sanada what he'd been thinking. Though he automatically elaborated the topic quite a bit as well.
Sanada sighed and shook his head, but he was smiling. That made Shinji continue to smile. If Sanada was smiling, he most often did as well.
Then Sanada seemed to find what he was looking for, because he closed the drawer and rose from the floor. He went over to the bed and sat down. Shinji reached out and brushed his hand down Sanada's back, tracing his spine with his fingers. Sanada's back straightened involuntarily and Shinji smirked slightly when Sanada then slumped down beside him with a thump.
"Shinji you bastard. Tarundoru." Sanada muttered, but pressed a soft kiss to his boyfriends lips.
Shinji smiled. "Sorry for making you relax, then." He kissed Sanada, who closed his eyes and hummed against Shinji's lips.
"What were you doing, anyway?" Shinji asked and Sanada sat up. "Right." he said and reached to pick up something from the floor. "I got this a bit ago, but completely forgot about it. That's your fault that I did, by the way."
Shinji shook his head. "Of course." he chuckled. "It's also my fault you sometimes get late to work and that you get lost. It's not that hard to find the way around here. It's smaller than Tokyo, anyway."
"Any town is smaller than Tokyo." Sanada stated and handed Shinji a plastic bag. "Anyway, before you make me forget again, Shin."
"Hn? What's this?" Shinji peeked into the bag and then quickly emptied it on the bed. "A-a collar?" He looked between the red leather-band and Sanada, who nodded. "For a dog. If you still'd let me get one."
Shinji smiled broadly at the expression on Sanada's face and he laughed. "Of course, stupid." he chuckled. "That make you happy?"
Sanada slid over the bed and wrapped his arms around Shinji, then let them both topple over. "Thank you." he said, the closest Shinji would get in prying an answer from him.
Shinji wrapped his arms around Sanada's neck and kissed him deeply. He was happy, at least, and he hoped Sanada was as well - thought he was. It looked like it right now, at least.
"Gen," Shinji mumbled is a low voice and pressed close. "love you." Sanada smiled and nuzzled his neck. "You too." he said, and Shinji was satisfied, as he curled up in his boyfriends arms and snickered slightly as Sanada nibbled at his neck.
Shinji was warm, Sanada thought. Very warm and comfortable, and cozy, too. Maybe he didn't mention it out loud very often - rarely, if anytime at all - but what he loved the most was to be huddled up together with the younger and just feel him close. Yes, he was very happy. He loved Shinji and Shinji had just granted the only wish he had besides always being with him. But no matter what, it would always be Shinji who he loved the most.
Not beta'ed or anything, nor very much thought through or worked at. Buuuut... I don't have very much inspiration right now. Or, I do, but most just won't come out. _
