Hello all~

This is yet another 10 minute drabble from the depths of my mind, so please enjoy. :)

Misaki Takahashi and Akihiko Usami had a very complex relationship. Theirs had been a whirlwind romance that not many would approve of. In a way, their relationship was taboo-they were both men, they were ten years apart, and thier official relationship had begun with a rather...improper incident that would be looked down upon by even the most liberal thinker. Add in the fact that they had quite seriously rushed headlong into their supposed "love" in less than a year of knowing each other and considering Akihiko's debatable status as a rebound-guy, it seemed that what the two of them had was barely tangible and would never last.

But once you got past the delicious scandal of it all, and got a glimpse into the real lives of Misaki Takahashi and Akihiko Usami, all you could see was the sheer innocence of what they were doing. The two of them ate their meals together in amiable content nealry every day, and Misaki would smile in a precociously mature way at Akihiko's almost childlike antics. They'd only really be apart when they worked or Misaki studied. Even then, the younger of the two would break often to bring Akihiko a snack or a drink, or to change the ribbon around "Suzuki-san's" neck with such tender care that it was almost as if the younger man thought he was handling Akihiko himself.

They ate together, they chatted with each other, Akihiko would flirt playfully, and they'd go about expressing their love for one another in subtle ways. A kiss on the cheek and a pat on the head before Misaki headed off to university for the day was all it took to sum up their entire relationship.

After all, it was really the innocent things in life that made a love worth while, wasn't it?
