This idea was kind of aquired from one of my other stories, 'Numb.' It acted more of an inspiration, than anything. If you've read it, you'll know what I'm talking about, hopefully. It's the first kind of 'part' type thing, aha. I decided to take it and kind of expand on it, and change it up a bit, so it will be a little (or a lot) different :) Hope you enjoy!

Somewhere in the world, the sun's rays shone through the window, settling directly onto a young boy's face. His face was illuminated in the golden glow, and he slept on, undisturbed. Black hair fell over his forehead and curled at the ends at the nape of his neck. His chest rose and fell with the rhythm of his breathing, slowly and deeply. Rise, fall, rise, fall. Oddly peaceful, was the look on his face. Almost a look of innocence, with the corners of his lips lifted up in the slightest, eyelashes fluttering minutely. Various runes were at seemingly random places. A few on his neck, on the back of his shoulders. They were shockingly dark compared to the boy's pale skin.

Laying next to that boy was a warlock. His hair, which was usually in stiff spikes, was down and soft. Face devoid of makeup and glitter, he was half asleep himself, eyes heavy and breathing slow. Yet, he wasn't quite asleep yet, too busy admiring the sight of the boy beside him to do something fatuous like sleep. He didn't want to miss this moment; it was perfect, in every sense of the word. Time went by fast, faster than he would like, and he didn't want to miss one moment of time spent with his Shadowhunter. And so he laid there, watching they boy, memorizing every feature, every quirk.

Then Alec's blue, blue eyes opened, squinting against the harsh light of the sun. With a small movement of Magnus's hand, the curtains closed over the window, shutting out most of the light. "You staring at me?" Alec mumbled, sleep heavy his voice. Magnus smiled.

"Not staring, observing." Looking. Memorizing.Magnus thought the words to himself, taking in the way Alec looked when he first woke up, as sleep still hung over him, trying to take him back under.

The corners of Alec's lips quirked up into the workings of a smile as he blinked away the sleep from his eyes. "Mmhmm."

"Oh, c'mere," Magnus murmured, reaching out and pulling Alec closer, relishing in the heat that radiated off the Shadowhunter as he slid over, his head coming to a rest on the warlock's shoulder, their legs tangling together. "Good morning, by the way, Alexander," Magnus said, a smile still present on his lips.

"It is a good morning," Alec said softly in response, nuzzling his face closer into Magnus' shoulder.

And it was a good morning. The two of them were together and it was warm and comfy and nothing else mattered at that moment except eachother.

A good morning indeed.
