As Tony and Steve come down from their highs the fall down on the bed, panting as they try to catch their breath. Steve loves Tony's bed. It's so soft and warm. He also loves Tony but he doesn't know if Tony actually loves him.
"Well that was fun." Tony says as he gets out of bed and heads to the bathroom.
"You're leaving? Steve asks as he sits up on his elbow.
"I have to finish something for work. Normally I used to kick them out but you can stay if you want." Tony says as he hops in the shower.
Tears started to swell in Steve's eyes. Liked he said before, he actuslly loves Tony and now he know that the feeling isn't mutual. He shakes his head angrily, trying to fight the tears. He has already cried enough times over Tony. He lays down on his side, curling in a ball and tries to stop thinking about the pain. Both phyical and mental. He doesn't turn over when the shower water stops. Tony is surprised that Steve is still in his room.
"I thought that you left." Tony says to Steve as he gets some boxers on.
"You said that I could stay if I want to. Don't you have somewhere else to be?" Steve says angrily to him as he looks at Tony with tears flowing down his face.
"Hey. What's wrong? Why are you crying? Don't get upset." Tony says as he rushes to Steve and kiss the tears away.
Steve just cries more. He dosent look up at Tony. He just hangs his head and cries. He thinks that he is a fool for trusting Tony. He fights Tony for a few seconds than submits to him. He hugs Tony tightly and buries his face in Tony's neck. He rubs Steve's back soothingly and shushes his softly.
"Steve what's wrong? Did I hurt you?" Tony asks worriedly.
"I don't want to be a one night stand for you. I actually love you Tony. I just can't." Steve sobs into his neck as he squeezes him tighter.
"Oh honey. You were and never will be that to me. I love you so much Steve." Tony whispers sweetly in his ear.
"But what you said earlier?" Steve asks confused?
"You misunderstood. I said that I used to kick them out but since we're dating I thought that you might want to stay. I was actually surprised because that last girlfriend I had took my wallet when I was in the shower." Tony explains as he rubs Steve's back.
"So why were you about to leave?" Steve asks as a big fat tear rolls down his cheek.
"I had to take of some business so we could spend the day together." Tony says as if it's the most obvious answer in the world.
Steve lets out a small sob as he wraps his arms and legs around Tony. He feels stupid for thinking so little of Tony.
"I'm sorry." Steve says as he buries his face I'm Tony's shoulder.
"It's ok. I understand." Tony whispers as he comforts Steve.
After a few minutes of silence Tony tucks Steve in bed, stripes down into nothing and cuddles into Steve.
"I love you Steve. Never forget that." Tony whispers sweetly in his ear.
"I love you too Tony." Steve whispers back with a long yawn as he falls sleep in Tony's arms.
