Hello, people! Well, I have decided to do a Fullmetal Alchemist one-shot, obviously. I love the anime series to death, but I decided that I could do without sobbing when I remembered the end. And Conqueror of Shamballa.
I love them both, but I had an idea. So, in this particular fic Edward and Alphonse are on the alchemy-centric side of the gate. Nothing in the last few episodes, like Ed and Al dying, Roy getting his eye fucked up, the Furher being a homunculi, Envy being his older brother, pretty much everything in Dante's mansion, and nothing in the movie took place either.
Al also has his body back and is in the age range of sixteen through eighteen.
Thank you very much for reading, and I hope you enjoy!
P.S. Me no own!
Sexless. Yes, Al decided. That was definitely the word. Ed was sexless.
The going-on-nineteen young man now seated before him had never had any romantic dealings in his life. He had never even been attracted to anyone! Alphonse crossed his arms and stared hard at his brother.
He studied his brother's features as Ed's eyes flashed back and forth across the pages of the book he held. Al took in the golden hair, straight bangs, slightly squares jaw, smooth nose, and round lips. He decided that, yes, according to the normal assumption of beauty, Ed was striking.
So why on Earth had Ed never found someone who could peak his interest? There had been plenty of opportunities! Winry; Bunny, the thief from Rush Valley; Rose, and so many other nameless women had made passes at his older brother.
Alphonse voiced his question.
"Brother, how come you don't have a girlfriend?"
Edward looked up from his book, and raised an eyebrow.
"I don't like girls, Al," Ed said simply, turning his attention back to his book.
Alphonse finally understood. That was the reason Ed had never gotten a girlfriend! But, wait. That doesn't make sense either. Al drew his brows together and scrunched his nose. If Ed didn't have a girlfriend because he didn't like girls, then that meant that he liked guys, right?
But, if that was the case, then why didn't Ed respond when all those men made passes at him, too? Like the Colonel, or Lieutenant Havoc, or Breda, or so many other men they've met on their travels. Alphonse was confused.
He voiced his question.
"Brother, how come you don't have a boyfriend?"
Ed looked up again, slightly amused.
"I don't like men, Al." Ed said, reaching for his mug of cooling coffee. His auto-mail arm tinked when it touched the cup.
Al's jaw dropped. He stared at his brother incredulously. Edward just shrugged.
