"Chéri'?" Gambit moved through the mansion searching. "Mon chéri? Are
you here?" He stopped in the kitchen and fiddled around in the fridge. As
he stood up, a sandwich protruding from his mouth a tall, thin woman
entered the room. She had long white hair and white eyes her complexion was
dark. "Stormy have you seen Rogue?"
"No I am sorry Remy. I have not seen her all day."
"That's odd we were goin' on a picnic." A younger girl walked in, she had short black hair and wore a yellow trench coat.
"Rogue left." The girl asserted.
"What? Where?"
"With Wolvy. They was goin' to the river for some.alone time."
"Vous devez plaisanter." Both of the women gave him an odd look. He shook his head. "Ah havta go find her." "Gambit wait! It's not what you think." The look on Remy LeBeau's face said he wasn't about to wait for an explanation. He walked outside and marched toward the garage. Sliding into a black Corvette he started the engine and revved hard. He took the brake off and slammed on the accelerator. Screaming out of the driveway the car fishtailing he thought to himself, 'Maybe Ah'm getting a lil' carried away.naaaww!' He drove down the scenic dirt road. As he approached the rivers parking area he slowed the car and parked. He stepped out of the 'vette and walked up to the edge of the river. He looked down one side and up the other. Slowly he began walking down the bank looking for a sign of Rogue or Wolverine. He approached a tall tree and looked around. There was a blanket hung over a high branch, it looked torn and ravaged. He cast his eyes westward and saw footprints leading away from the tree; around the area there were markings as if a skirmish had happened. "Mon chéri?" He yelled, running his fingers through his blood red hair. "Are you here?" He heard a rustle a few yards away. Slowly he moved toward the sound, cocking his head to the side. He slid his hand up his sleeve and pinched a card between his index, middle and thumb fingers. As he took a step closer to the sound a white and black blur crossed his vision. It came at him with incredible speed and accuracy. Gambit did a summersault to the left and charged the card in his hand. He pulled the card from his sleeve and flung it at his assailant. It slammed into his attackers side and created a loud whir. The figure pushed up with its arms and then thumped back down onto the ground, face down. As Gambit watched the thing he noticed it had two large, metal wings protruding from it's back. When the thing started to move again he slammed his foot into the back of its head, knocking it out. He flipped it over onto its back and looked down at it, he let out a loud gasp. It was a thin girl, long black hair and a black outfit. "Well mon chéri, lets find mah girl." He picked her up and tossed her over his shoulder holding her with one arm. He pressed into the bushes and looked around in a sort of opening behind the trees, he found no trace of Rogue or of Wolverine. As he exited the bushes down the stream he saw two figures, he paced slowly toward them. Sure enough it was Rogue and Logan. "Mon chéri!" he called out to her. "Hey Shuga! What's up? I was jus' goin' fo' a lil' stroll with Wolvy. Whatcha got there?" Gambit walked up to them and looked at Rogue and then at Wolvy. "You forgot about our picnic." "Oh Ah'm sorry Shuga. But Wolvy wanted to talk an'.he seemed kinda desperate. No offense." "None taken" said Logan. "I found this over there." Gambit lowered the girl and held her up. "Remy.that's mah sister." Rogue whimpered. "But Ah didn't think she had mutant powers." "Shuga.its Halloween." "She jumped on me." "She hasn't seen you for six years." "Oh." The girl slowly started to become conscious. "Hey Shuga!" She flung her arms around Gambit and then Rogue. "And who is dis handsome fella?" She nodded at Wolvy. The four slowly started back to the mansion.
