Ponyhead stood stock still, staring at Star, who was currently staring off the side of the bounce lounge. Star was horrified. She herself was horrified. The guards and her father were horrified. She just wanted to party.
He tried to stop them, to get them to see reason. She convinced her friend he was a sack of potatoes. She tried to run, he tried to convince them otherwise. She just wanted to party.
"Lilacia, what did you do." That wasn't a real question. Everyone in the room knew what she had done. She saw how Star looked at him. The last guy was Tom. She didn't want a repeat while she was at St. O's. She planned to drive a wedge, to show that this guy was no different. But he protected her. Protected them both. He was different.
"I didn't mean to-"
"Meaning and action are two different things Lilacia." She knew he meant it. This was irreversible. She could have run, she could have given up, she could have fought, but she couldn't stand not being the best. The other girl was still at the edge. No one could make her move. No one tried. It was obvious she crushed on him. Now she was alone.
"B-fly."
"That name is for friends." The girl was nearly in tears, but the little venom she could muster killed something inside Ponyhead. There was no coming back from this. It was too late when they noticed the ledge was empty. A small splat moments later confirmed what had happened. They were together again. Now, and eternally. Ponyhead cried. It was all that was left. Everything else was, dead.
In the years to come she would herself be put down, as a show of friendship with Earth and Mewni. The boy had a little sister he would never meet, as would the girl. Though there were graves on Earth and Mewni for them, each coffin held half of each. Glossaryck put it best when their bodies were recovered. Even in a world without magic, they belonged together. Better than anyone else ever had.
