That's So Sonny Season 1 Episode 7 "Awkward"

Chad looked at his watch and then continued eating. "So, what do you think about that?"

Sonny picked at her salad and then looked up nervously. "I uh,...I dunno,"

Chad pulled at the collar of his shirt. "This is uh getting kinda umm awkward,"

"Yeah, yeah, I totally know what you mean," Sonny stuttered

"So,..." Chad picked at his steak.

"So,..." Sonny leafed though her salad.

"How about we finish eating?" Chad suggested as he continued to eat the last of his steak.

"Okay," Sonny said as they finished their food in silence.

Sonny drank her glass of diet coke and so did Chad.

Sonny finally broke the silence by saying, "I think that it isn't a big deal if someone likes another,"

Chad added, "It just depends on who that person is," Chad stared into Sonny's dark brown eyes.

Sonny stared right back into Chad's blue eyes. "I uhh,...will you excuse me?" Sonny asked as she placed to napkin on the table and walked to the bathroom.

"What am I doing? Chad just told me that he has feelings and I'm just sitting here all nervous!" Sonny thought as she quickly washed her hands and walked back to the table.
She sat down and took a sit of her soda.

"So,... do you have feelings?" Chad asked quietly.

"Do you?" Sonny asked stating the obvious.

"I uhh just told you remember?" Chad asked nervously with a tremor in his voice.

Sonny took Chad's hand and slightly smiled.

"Wow, Sonny's brave enough to do something like hold my hand and I'm sitting here stuttering!" Chad thought.

"Chad, yeah," Sonny admitted bravely.

"yeah is in?..."

"yeah as in I have feelings," Sonny replied as she gulped down her diet coke.

"Cool, uh me too," Chad said.

"This is really awkward," Sonny half halfheartedly smiled with worries in her eyes.

"So,...where do we stand?" Chad asked.

"Uh,...I...I'm not sure," Sonny said as she finished the last sip of her soda.

"Yeah,..." Chad said. They sat there in silence for a few seconds. Then the waiter returned taking their dishes and cups away and giving Chad the customer's check.

"So are we going to anything about it?" Sonny asked seriously.

Chad turned stiff. "I guess so," he replied as normal as possible.

"So are you going to have to start dating?" Sonny asked as they stood up.

"It wouldn't be normal not to do this, so yeah," Chad replied as he put his credit card on the counter and they swiped his credit card.
They left the restaurant and started to walk.

"So we're doing this," Chad said

"I guess so!" Sonny replied.
