Chapter 1 (Tobias's POV)
I was standing by the net waiting for the new initiates. Lauren stood next to me, tapping her foot. This was my second year training. I am just praying that this initiates are going to be better than last years. Dauntless born were much easier than transferees.
"Why do you get to have the Dauntless Born?" I asked
She narrows her eyes at me "Because last year you got them, I had to go through hell with the transferees" Lauren said
It was true. I did get the transferees last year. I knew I wouldn't win this agreement.
"Fine" I said
We stood there in silence until I saw a figure land on the net. Shocked filled me. Gray clothes. She's from Abnegation...Or was from Abnegation. Why would she want to transfer here?! She looked up and smiled. I hold out my arm towards her, ready to pull her up. She looks at my arm and grabs it. She pulls herself up without my help.
"Thanks" She said even though I did nothing
Lauren then says "A stiff the first one to jump, I've never seen it before"
"There's a reason why she left Abnegation Lauren" I said irritated
"What's your name?" I ask
She stays quiet like she's unsure of herself
"Elena" She says
"Announce it" Lauren says grinning
"First jumper- Elena" I shout
Everybody cheers and pumps there fists up in the air. Cheering and screaming.
"I place my hand on her shoulder. She looks at me
"Welcome to Dauntless Elena" I say
She smiles a little bit
