He leaned back in the chair, trying to summon the nerve. He'd given his word. Made a promise to his younger brother.
It was just that he never dreamed he'd actually have to keep it.
Dean tried to suppress the shudder that threatened to overtake him.
He reached out, willing his hand to not shake.
Sam watched the drama unfold before him and sighed.
"Dean, for crying out loud, it's just a freaking salad. You said you'd try to eat better." He cranked the Puppy Eyes up a notch.
Dean glared at Sam, then picked up his fork.
Stupid promises.
