There standing one-by-one
We're gonna have some fun
All alone and nowhere to go
Slow and painful is my motto

After years of struggling against their feeling for each other, Bones and Booth finally gave in. It might have been at the expense of one of their friend but they finally took the gamble and confessed their love to each other. By fate alone, the one night Bones and Booth spent together, Bones fell pregnant. After 9 months of trying to juggle being pregnant and being the best forensic anthropologist in the world, Bones gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Amelia Grace Booth.
Bones wanted to go back to work straight away but Booth was very prescient in telling her otherwise. So here we are 6 months after Amelia was born and Bones has finally returned to work putting her old team back together with Angela, Hodgins and their baby boy Michael with Cam leading the team as well as her many interns. Booth was weary of Bones bringing the baby to work but Booth trusted Bones and believed that everything would be fine.

"Bones! We have a case" exclaimed Booth as he walked into Bones' office.

A 6 year old girl was found dead in a public playground. The FBI suspects murder so therefore the Jeffersonian team was called to further investigate. At first Bones and Booth were excited about having a case to solve but once they realised the playground was within walking distance from their home, their parental instincts kicked in and they refused to let Amelia and Parker out of their sight.

Bones was standing on the platform of the Jeffersonian examining the remains before her.
"The hyoid had been broken and there seems to be damage to the tracheal cartilage. Cam should take a tox screen of what's left to the liver and lungs. There is also a fracture patterns on the skull that suggest a blunt object was used with excessive force to crush her skull post mortem" said Bones as she continued to examine the small remains.
"Do you want me to do a facial reconstruction?" asked Angela holding Michael in her arm. Hodgins wasn't excited about the idea of Michael being with Angela at work but he couldn't stop Angela from spending every moment of her day with her baby boy.
"That will be very beneficial" replied Brenann.
"Cam needs to do an autopsy and then I will clean the bones. I call you when you can do a facial reconstruction. Until Cam has finished the autopsy there is nothing that either of us can do so why don't you go spend some time with Michael" said Bones while walking out the door down to her office. Angels nodded and left the platform as well.
"Booth!" exclaimed Brenann as she walked into her office to see her boyfriend just lying on the couch nearly asleep.
"Shhhhhhh Bones. Amelia is asleep"
As if on cue cries filled the room.
"Well now she is awake" continued Booth.
"Booth what were you doing falling asleep" said Brenann angry at the father of her child had so easily forgotten that he was supposed to be watching their child.
"Amelia was crying all last night long. I didn't get any sleep" whined Booth.
"You didn't think that a new born infant would cry all day and night long. You should think about that next time before you impregnate me again"
"I'm sure that won't happen for a very long time" said Booth with a massive smirk on his face.
Booth came up to Bones to kiss her. They were in a passionate embrace when Booth could sense that something was on Bones' mind.
"What's wrong?"
"How much has she eaten? How long did she sleep for? Does she need more clothing to keep warm?" said Bones. Booth could sense that she was worried from her tone.
"Bones. Bones. Bones. Calm down she is fine at the moment. Come here and hold her. They say a mothers touch can make it all better, not that there is anything wrong. I have to get back to the Hoover to complete some paperwork" said Booth wearily getting off the couch to get Amelia out of her cot. Bones had been on edge lately and always worrying what about Amelia was doing as there was a child killer on the loose that could potential kill her beautiful little girl, you know the usual.
"Do you have an identity of the skeletal remains?" said Booth putting his shoes back on.
"Not yet. I am waiting for Angela to complete the facial reconstruction on the victim" replied Bones.
"Bones I wish you would treat the remains of the deceased as more than just bones and rather as someone's family. Someone has lost their baby girl" Booth said asserting his dominance in their relationship.
"Not yet waiting for the facial reconstruction. Booth I try not to become attached to the remains as I treat them as evidence and nothing more. I get attached to a set of remains my judgement is clouded"
"Ok then. A little more compassion would be nice though"
"Do you want to go to the diner to get some lunch? Cam is conducting an autopsy on the victim and then Angela is going to do a facial reconstruction, so until then both you and me are partially useless so why do we go get some lunch"
"Ok then" said Booth as he went to get his coat of the chair.
