These are two poems I wrote for Yugi and Atem. The first one is from Yugi's point of view, and the second one is from Atem's point of view.
Disclaimer: I don't own YGO and it isn't much of a surprise, right? And if I did, the ending would have been a tie instead.

You Are Leaving
You are leaving,
And here I stand,
Watching you one last time
As you wave your hand.
I tried to speak
Yet found not a word,
So my silent pleas
Are left unheard.
Your hair, your face,
Your crimson eyes,
And even your existence
Now seem like lies.
You were everything
That I could not be,
Yet at the same time,
We were symmetry.
Now that you've left
My heart broke in two,
And I no longer have you
To pull me through.
I would have done anything
To see you once more,
Or even to stop you
From going through that door.
But I know it was fate
For this to be,
So I wipe away my tears-
Because now you're free!
I'll Always Be There
When I stand,
The gods are by my side.
When I start walking,
On the clouds I ride.
Where I am,
I can see all.
And then from your face,
I see a teardrop fall.
In your room,
I silently land.
I step up to you,
And give you my hand.
Though I'm intangible,
I squeeze you tight,
Whispering silently
That it'll be all right.
You open your eyes,
But I'm not there.
All that you can see
Is the empty air.
But even though your eyes
Do not conceive,
Your heart still knows
That I'll never leave.
