I do not own any of the characters, nor do I own platform 9 and ¾, the Hogwarts express, or Hogwarts itself. These come from the brilliant mind of J.K Rowling. I realise that this does not exactly match the story line, and this is my first ever actual fanfiction.
Sirius Black strode confidently towards the barrier that hid platform 9 and ¾ from the muggle world. His owl, which hooted happily at the front of his trolley gained many stares from non-magical folk. Sirius spotted several people he knew, numerous of who were ex-girlfriends. He quickly ducked, hiding from one who had taken the break up particularly hard, all because he had said he wanted to keep his options open.
Sirius passed through the barrier with ease. He spotted his best friend, James Potter, trying to chat up Lily Evans, as usual. Lily just wasn't interested, but James was persistant.
"Please!" Sirius heard him plead. "I swear! I've changed this year!"
"That's what you said last year!" Replied Lily, turning her back and walking away.
"Ouch!" Sirius remarked, stretching out the comment. Sirius smirked. "Struck out again, ey Prongs?" James punched Sirius on the arm
"Hey! Don't be jealous, just because I can get more girls than you!" Sirius said, but his words were hollow, because, just then, he has seen the one person he had had a crush on for many years, walk by
"Moony! OI! Moony, get over here!" James shouted, drawing Remus Lupin's attention to himself and Sirius. Sirius ran a hand through his hair quickly, and straightened out his robes. James gave him an odd look, but said nothing
Remus smile grew when he saw who had been calling him. He strutted over, Prefect badge glowing in the morning sun.
"Hey man, Congrats on becoming a prefect! Maybe now you can get us into the girls prefect bathroom!" James winked at his old friend. Moony laughed, and glanced at Sirius, who had been staring at him intently. When Remus noticed that the staring was still happening, he quickly cast his eyes downward, blushing slightly. Luckily, James' eyes were already following Lily, who was boarding the Hogwarts Express
"Come on guys, Let's get on!" He said, eye not leaving Lily. He jogged after her, calling her name.
Lupin glanced at Sirius again. He heard Sirius mutter several swear words, along with 'James' under his breath. He laughed, picked up his own luggage, along with James' (who had abandoned it, as he chased after Lily), and signalling Sirius to do the same. Remus boarded the train, with Sirius close behind, chattering away. Occasionally, Remus would supply a 'Yep!' or 'Okay', not really paying attention to what was being said
As much as they tried, they could not find James anywhere, so they settled in an empty compartment, close to the back of the train. Sirius sat down, but Remus stayed standing, unsure of where he should sit. He decided that, really, it couldn't hurt, and sat beside Sirius. There was a few minutes of awkward silence, during which the train slowly puffed away from the station. Sirius adjusted how he was sitting, and accidentally placed his hand on Remus'. He quickly removed it, leaving both boys blushing furiously, and Remus jumped up, saying something about having to go to the prefects compartment, and left in a hurry
Sirius sighed, and wondered if Lupin would ever return his feelings
Remus let out his breath, Not realising he had been holding it. He wondered if Sirius could possibly feel the same way about him. He quickly dismissed the idea. They were friends, and that was all they were destined to be
This is my very first fanfiction, so please, don't be too critical. I especially like the idea of Remus/Sirius. If you have any ideas for future pairings, (including Original Characters), please, feel free to suggest in Reviews!
