Author's Note: I stayed home sick today teartearsnufflesnuffle, and I had this urge to write a poem about precious Chrno. It takes place Chapter 51-52 of the manga and basically describes his feelings.... read and review please and tell me what you think.

Broken in two is the plight of the Demon
Shattered walls reflect the anguish of the astral soul
Burdened no more by the sin of existence
His soul dies along her side.
Horns restored but still he bleeds
In the shadow of Eden
A once called Paradise
But now a memento of what was lost.
Rage and heartbreak and tormented by the hand of God
Lonesome howl shakes the Earth
And the very core of humanity
Is brought to its knees.
Grips of sanity slipping
Plunging into the darkness bellow
Into the very pits of Hell and beyond
Where he can no longer feel her warmth.
A plain of existence where redemption is lost
To those who seek it
Found once in the eyes of a girl
Now lost and lifeless in a place he cannot reach.
Red eyes, sharp teeth
Another bay, but this one of retribution
For loss of innocence at the hands
Of the one who loved.
The Devil's hand reaches out to call him back to place
A place at the side the destroyer
And the empty voice grows shallow
Her form still wrapped in his arm.
The void devours his meaning
Soaking up what is left of him
Losing himself in the series of moments
Waiting- wishing- for his end.
But beaten at the hands of all rises a new hope
A will to carry on with her wish
To make her happy, and maybe
See her beloved smile once more in his dreams.
