Mizuki's Root's
Mizuki sat in a bound chair waiting for interrogation over why he betrayed Konoha, he'd tell them some cockamaney story about doing it for Orochimaru, but they would never discover his real motives or who he really served, after all even if most Shinobi knew about his master to some degree, they'd never be able to discern the real truth of his master or even how most of his masters operatives worked. The door opens and Danzo Shimura enters.
"Report." Danzo says.
"Operation test the weapon's seal complete Lord Danzo." Mizuki says with an emotionless voice.
"Good. I hope you remember your next mission from inside the Konoha Correctional Facility." Danzo says.
"Yes you wish for to discover how the inmates are smuggling contraband, from the inside." Mizuki says.
Danzo nods and leaves knowing his operative would succeed.
As Danzo leaves, he is confronted by his long time friend and rival Hiruzen Sarutobi The Third Hokage
"Was all this really necessary Danzo?" Hiruzen asks.
"Quite now we know the seal will hold up under emotional distress, it's not like I did what they did in Suna, where they forced their weapon to live with it's uncle, and have them form an emotional bond only to have the uncle try and kill it." Danzo says.
"And what would you have done if the seal hadn't held?" Hiruzen asks with a hard tone.
"Create a new Jinchuriki." Danzo says, simply as though it should've been obvious.
His answer pisses Hiruzen off, Danzo sees this and internally sighs.
"You should not be so attached to your tools Hiruzen, it will only make it harder for you to let go when their time is up." Danzo says walking away.
Hiruzen sighs in frustration at his friends attitude.
"I honestly can't believe him, using one of his operatives to become an academy instructor, then get close to Naruto only too then betray him like that, we're just lucky this didn't blow up in our faces." Hiruzen thinks to himself.
