They had beaten Byakuran, and saved the future, they had returned to the past and it was their first night back. And Tsuna was twisting and turning in his bed, it was 2:27am. According to the clock on his nightstand. He let out a sigh as he turned onto his back and stared up at the ceiling, 'Damn you insomnia!' he mentally cursed. The pills that had helped him get to sleep ages ago didn't seem to have had any effect what-so-ever now. Although that might be because, deep down he didn't really want to sleep alone, he'd spent so much time with Spanner ten years in the future, and he just couldn't sleep without him by his side anymore. That's when poor Tsuna's sleep deprived mind came up with the best idea ever (in his opinion anyway) he got up, making sure not to wake Reborn, and left his room, tip toed down the hallway and entered the room that I-pin, Fuuta and Lambo shared. His face softened at the sight of them sleeping peacefully, it really was good to be back ten years in the past, where they belonged, but still, Tsuna missed Spanner. Finding new courage at the thought of seeing his beloved mecha freak again, Tsuna looked around the room – there! There it was, the ten year bazooka. Rushing over to it as quietly as possible, the brunette made a mental note to tell Lambo not to leave his 'toys' laying around before shooting himself.
Upon opening his eyes Tsuna found himself face to face with a was-most-probably-sleeping-before-the-'poof' Spanner. And he grinned. Spanner having long ago stopped calling Tsuna 'Vongola' blinked sleepily and asked "Tsuna, what are you doing? How come you're ten years younger? Did something happen" "No nothing is wrong, I just couldn't sleep without you, so I ended up using Lambo's ten year bazooka." He smiled sheepishly "Oh, well best you hurry up and fall asleep then, you only have five minutes.." At that Tsuna grinned and kissed Spanner before laying his head on the pillow and falling asleep within ten seconds. Spanner lay there and watched his little beloved sleep peacefully smiling to himself softly, he kissed the brunettes forehead gently and whispered "I love you" before laying his head down onto the pillow and closing his eyes, hearing a 'poof' only seconds later he opened his eyes to see a ten-year-older Tsuna sleeping just as peacefully as he was ten years ago, smiling again Spanner wrapped his arms around his lover and fell back into the world of dreams.
This happened for the next week or so, Spanner waking up to a 'poof' and a ten year younger Tsuna appearing before him and going to sleep, when one day it stopped, Spanner was expecting the 'poof' any moment now, but when nothing came he started to wonder if something had happened, it couldn't be anything major seeing as his beloved was still asleep peacefully next to him.. That night Spanner didn't sleep. When morning came, the ten years older mafia boss opened his eyes smiled sleepily at Spanner. "Morning, you sleep well?" Not one to make his lover worry Spanner answered with a "Yeah fine, and you?" Tsuna's smile grew and he answered
"Yeah, better than ever, because that night ten years ago, was the first time I slept in your arms."
