I was shrinking. My body was physically changing. My skin was turning green. And I was horrified.
So I screamed.
The sound that came out was hideous. It sounded like a frog's croak. Oh wait, I was a frog wasn't I? So I sang.
This place wasn't so bad. I was suddenly wondering what had happened that made me so nervous. I was alive, and I was in a good place to live. With lots of insects. Oh, there's one now! A tongue flash later the delightful insect was eaten by me.
There was another frog close by. That must be it, I thought, there's an enemy in my territory. I sucked up a big breath of air and puffed myself up as large as I could. How dare she come here? I'd show her!
Then something extraordinary happened! Something large flew past me and hit the other frog so hard that it went flying off into the distance. I tried to look around. I was scared out of my wits, and seeing another frog get hit like that...
Then I saw what hadn't before. Humans! I tried to run, but the nearest one picked me up with a quick movement. I struggled to be let free, but to no avail. The filthy mammal stuffed me in its pocket! I squirmed, but couldn't get out of the material.
A couple of minutes later, after hearing muffled voices talking about something I couldn't quite understand, I was brought out into the air again. Again, I tried to get away, but it was hopeless. The stifled chanting wasn't helping my mood any.
Suddenly I was growing. My skin was turning to a gross pink color, and I was growing mammal-like fur. Then I was falling.

"Rydia stop squirming," Edge said, "You'll be ok, you don't want to stay like that forever do you?"
He held the small frog in his hand, which was trying desperately to escape.
Rosa stood a short ways off, calling forth the magic to change the frog back into her normal form. As the spell took effect, the ninja dropped the swiftly growing shape-changeling to the ground with as much care as time would allow.
The green-haired woman emerged from the frog with wild eyes. "Wh- What happened?" She asked, confused.
"It's all right, you got turned into a frog," Cecil explained, "But Rosa managed to counter the spell."
"Oh, 'It's all right' huh?" Rydia quipped, "So casual."
"Well, if you wanted we could have left you as a frog," the paladin grinned.
"No," Rydia said quickly, "You did ok! Thank you Rosa."
"Anytime my friend," the white mage replied.
"So," Edge said, "How do flies taste?"
Rydia gave the ninja a sour glare. She stooped and retrieved a little of the semi-acidic liquid that had settled in pools on the floor. Edge threw up his arms in a defensive gesture as she flung it at him. It wasn't dangerously acidic, but it did burn.
Soon the group moved on to explore the rest of the cave.
