Beacon's Library – Mid Evening
Weiss Schnee placed the aged book back on the shelf of Beacon's library; it was the fourth one on the science behind Semblances she had skimmed through in the last hour and a half.
"Still nothing to give us an edge…no ideas, no strategies. Nothing." She mused her misfortune to herself in a light sigh and started making her way back towards the large, immaculate doors when her link peaked suddenly. Curiosity. Questioning. Concern.
She lightly chuckled to herself, feeling the emotion coming from Blake specifically.
"Nothing to worry about Blake. Just a little fruitless research apparently."
Curiosity. Humor. Questioning.
"I know, right? The scholar at a loss for information." She smiled at the questioning emotion. "I'll tell you when I get back."
Understanding. Calmness. Love.
"Love you, too." She said quietly. Beacon's halls were less filled with students than usual. Professor Goodwitch had recently taken to experimenting with a new training regime that was designed to increase teams' dynamics in the event they found themselves in unusual circumstances; partners being separated and paired with their counterparts on the other half of their teams. Such pairings included Jaune working with Ren and Nora working with Pyrrha in JNPR.
In RWBY's case, Ruby with Yang, and Weiss with Blake. Though for RWBY's unique dynamic, that being the two were sisters, it was hardly a challenge. They had taken the bullhead at the airport earlier to the Emerald Forest to see just how differently they operated, with the intention of being gone for a while, if not overnight.
A Schnee with an ex-White Fang faunus however…
Weiss stopped in her tracks. In a moment of clarity more prominent than when she first explained everything to Winter, she found herself recalling every detail of the last few weeks at Beacon.
"Ever since that one night" her cheeks tinting lightly "nothing has been the same. My entire world has flipped on itself. Each day has been on an impulse, so fast and so slow at the same time. The memories a blur and at the same time I can remember almost every detail…"
She hadn't realized she continued her trek back to RWBY's dorm.
"And every one of them a surprise in some form or another…and every time I wake up I don't know what the next day is going to bring."
She continued mulling over the memories; replaying them one by one until finally she was standing at the door to their room.
Shaking her head, realization kicking in, she was reaching for the knob when the door flung inward revealing a semi-concerned, confused Blake. Crystal blue met amber and for a brief moment no one said anything, verbally at least.
Surprise. Concern. Confusion. Hesitance.
"Weiss? Are you okay? The link seemed dull for the last few minutes and for a moment I thought…" her eyes cast down briefly, "I thought you were trying to block me…"
Confusion. Mild hurt. Curiosity. Concern.
Once again, Weiss' brain had to kick start back into the real world. Blake's emotions and question sent a mild level of alarm and worry through her but she quickly regained her composure.
"Blake! Oh dust, I'm sorry…" She recoiled a bit, mentally slapping herself; one for the fact that her normally, perfectly poised persona had transitioned to something akin to a mindless drone. Second, and most importantly, she was inadvertently hurting her girlfriend's feelings.
"I guess I just got lost in thought, daydreaming almost…" She lifted her head, meeting Blake's gaze. Her ears were dipped forward slightly.
"Must have been quite a memory." She smiled back at Weiss, biding her to come in. Weiss obliged, returning her smile. "You could say that."
As Weiss situated her belongings on her desk, Blake had closed the door and was preparing to make her way back to her book on the night stand between the hastily, and questionably constructed bunk beds when she turned to face Weiss again.
"Oh yeah, you left the library after trying to do some researching? What were you trying to learn?" She asked, sitting back down on the bed with her feet on the floor. She adjusted her night gown, one that Yang had purchased for her after basically ripping her last one apart. She tinted slightly at the memory, but also brought up fond feelings and hastily pushed images of having the blonde brawler do it again.
Quickly willing the thoughts away, she refocused her attention to Weiss' back as the heiress placed Myrtenaster on its mantle. The thoughts had already crossed the link.
Weiss, for the briefest of moments also recollected the night in which this whole wonderful but crazy chain of events began. She too quickly refocused, both having sensed the need to remain composed.
Blake's faunus traits would soon betray her, however.
"Oh that." She started, making her way over to stand a few feet in front of Blake. "I was trying to look into different techniques that might help us utilize our affinities better, but nothing exists, as far as I can tell, to training a second semblance, let alone a third or fourth."
Blake perked a bit at the idea of something being out there to help understand how mating could possibly generate a phenomenon such as this, but was seemingly defeated at the realization that no such knowledge exist. "Weiss, I'm proud and happy for you that you're giving everything you have try and make sense of all this, but we all agreed that we're probably the first ever to have something like this happen. Three humans and a faunus? Pretty uncommon. A human marking a faunus? That was a new one for both our species. But an affinity that grants us the ability to use each other's semblances? That's history in the making." She smiled in an almost excited manner at Weiss, who was sporting a proud grin of her own.
"So long story short, we're going to have to be the ones to write that book one day." Weiss then broke down in a light fit of laughter. Blake soon followed, as Weiss managed to regain herself.
"I guess once I take over the SDC I'll start a publishing company to add to the mix!" Both girls then broke into full on laughter.
"Oh Dust," Blake started, "How are you planning to inherit the company now with everything that's happened?" She suddenly gasped, realizing the implications on Weiss just from a brief, joke of a question. Weiss' silence and shocked look confirmed her fears.
An awkward silence had brewed, only for the briefest of moments. The link flooding with fear and regret, but then went…blank. No sooner than Blake was about to stand and fiercely apologize to Weiss, the heiress without skipping a beat finally and simply said, "I guess I'll ask the White Fang's future leader to help me in a hostile takeover."
Now Blake carried the look of shock, having no idea where that came from. She wasn't sure if she should be insulted or…
Weiss wrinkled grin started convulsing; "She's laughing?!..."
…
"…She was joking…"
Both girls then heaved over in side splitting laughter as the joke was settling in. Both realizing the insanity of either idea…
Blake Beladonna, in command of a new White Fang, and at the behest of Weiss Schnee, a deposed heiress due to her relationship, storming SDC Headquarters in Atlas to retake what was rightfully hers…
There was an idea if there ever was one. They couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of it all.
Still expelling a robust amount of giggles, Weiss proceeded to take a seat on the bed next to Blake, her fair colored legs grazing Blake's own.
Her sensory receptors flared, but not quite enough to evoke an emotional response.
Weiss, having finally regained enough composure and wiping away a tear looked at Blake, a toothy grin from ear to ear plastered on her face. Blake couldn't help but mimic her, tender love flowing through the link.
"First off: Me? Raising an army of faunus? Get real." Both girls chortled at this. "Second, a subsidiary of SDC publishing books on faunus/human mating? I don't know how much more crazy that could get!"
Weiss was too busy staving off laughter to get a proper response in. The movement caused by the laughter inadvertently moved their bodies closer together; hips now in contact.
Blake's senses started flaring, a bit more announced this time. She started blushing as she quieted down, bashfully looking away.
This didn't go unnoticed on Weiss either, sensing the contact herself and seeing Blake's reaction caused her to imitate Blake.
Picking up on her apparent tendency to daydream, Weiss came to realize that she and Blake never really shared any real alone time, minus the exchange just outside the airfield. She remembered Blake's efforts to comfort and reassure her that Winter would be okay with everything that happened; to keep her head up and not worry about the 'what-ifs?'. Truthfully, they never had the time, or even the physical ability with Yang being her actual team partner, and the four of them usually always being together.
And in the brief interval they had now, they shared a morbid joke at each other's expense, as if they had known each other since childhood. The irony was not lost on either side. But in some, literally magical way, it made their bond that much deeper, and stronger.
Meanwhile Blake was also coming to terms with just how crazy her life had become, as if being in what basically became a terrorist organization wasn't crazy enough, her own campaign to bridge the gap between human and faunus had taken a literal turn. She hadn't just bridged that gap, she literally drug the other side of the divide to hers and had sex with it. Three of them, in fact. One of which was the Schnee heiress. At the same time.
The provocative thoughts soon stirred a reaction from Blake. An instinctual reaction. Combined with the close proximity and physical contact of her mate, her heat levels started to rise. Her eyes widened as she stole a quick glance at Weiss who had also picked up on Blake's feelings, now identified and causing both girls to blush furiously.
Arousal.
"Um…" she muttered.
Using a quick move of the hip and arm, Blake scooted towards the nightstand where her bag was, tucking some hair behind her lateral ears. She reached in to grab a familiar cylindrical bottle. Using practiced precision she was able to snap the top open, loose a single yellow pill into her hand, and close the bottle. Her normal instinct was to immediately pop the pill in her mouth and down it with a swig of water. But in light of the last few minutes, she opted to stare at it as she brought the hormonal suppressant to her face.
"It's strange to think, that this little tiny pill, or lack thereof, was the start of all this." She was still blushing, but willed the immediate thoughts away in favor of reminiscence. She couldn't help but feel a ping of guilt. "To think that in some way, no matter how you look at it, I can't change the fact that I basically dragged, forced you guys even, to join in this little romance of mine." She frowned for a moment, remembering the very uncomfortable discussions they had to have. Despite being involuntary, Blake was still different from them in more ways than a pair of felix ears.
Weiss on the other hand felt guilt and even hurt from Blake's words. Not sharing in Blake's minor pain, but hurt that that's how she was looking at 'this little romance.' "Don't even start to think like that!"
Blake whirled her head, wide eyed at Weiss' scolding tone, but again quickly looking back at the pill, her forlorn gaze returning.
Weiss took the initiative and reached for the pill; Blake didn't resist relinquishing it, sensing that Weiss had no intent to do anything out of anger.
"Blake…" she began, "These last few weeks have been the most…insane of my life. Not insane like rehab or asylum. I mean, compared to what I grew up with, what I was forced to learn, the day to day tutoring and lessons, and etiquette…the list goes on…"
Blake listened intently as Weiss took up Blake's façade of looking at the pill.
"The insanity of doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. At least I wanted something different to happen. For my suitors it was supposed to be the same. Tradition, they call it. Doing the same thing over and over and knowing exactly what the result will be." Her eyes took on a look of remembrance, with no small trace of regret. "For all the lively, lavish things I could, would, and can still have, none of it was living. None of it excited me. Sure, my prim and proper, spoiled attitude even…"
Blake smirked at this while Weiss simply gave a sideways unamused glance.
"All that stuff was just how I acted because, that's all I knew…and never really thought I could be wrong about why I did it." She raised her head and turned to Blake, a purpose and drive in her crystal blue eyes.
"For the first time in my life, I have no idea what's going to happen." Blake eyes shifted, showing a look of curiosity and mild pity as Weiss continued. "I don't know what's going to happen tomorrow. I don't know what's going to happen in an hour. I don't even want to guess what the White Fang or Torchwick are going to do, or whether it'll have some effect on the Vytal Festival."
Blake then began to feel and look helpless. Truth be told she was in the same boat as Weiss. She was going to have to up her own investigative efforts soon, even at the cost of studying or sleep, she determined.
"And I'm okay with that…"
Now Blake had another shocked expression on her face. "But Weiss…"
"Because for the first time in my life, I feel alive. I'm living my own life, by my own terms. I'm making decisions on my own, for me. And you, and Yang, and Ruby." Blake remained silent, feeling no shortness of contentment from Weiss.
Contentment. Adoration. Trust. Love.
"And I'm in love with people that I chose; people I met out of sheer coincidence and fell in love with them." Blake smiled warmly at Weiss, and she did the same.
"So you can believe me when I say, that this little pill, or lack thereof, for better or worse, is the best thing that has ever happened to me."
Pure bliss and adoration poured from Blake. Her heart melted under Weiss' loving gaze. A look that she knew through the link was meant only for her and two other very special girls. A tear starting welling as it took everything for her not to break down right then and there. Just as she was getting ready to lean in and hug the aura right out of her mate, Weiss reached up and wiped the tear away, keeping the pill where it was in her other hand.
"You, Blake Beladonna, ex-White Fang and daughter of its founder, are the best thing that ever happened to me. And Ruby. And Yang. All of us."
That was it. Blake surged forward and captured Weiss' lips in a passionate kiss. The link roared to life. Like a dam breaking, nothing was held in reserve anymore. Weiss took it all in and reciprocated the emotions, returning the kiss with equal passion and bringing her still free hand to Blake's cheek.
As Weiss was frivolously reminded of the texture of Blake's tongue, she couldn't help but smile and attempt to laugh through the airtight lip lock. After a few moments, and with a dire need of oxygen, the two mates finally separated with an audible 'smack' as their lips converged to break apart at the seams, ensuring that no space was spared of the tender gesture.
As they pulled apart, breathing heavily, they never once lost eye contact. Blake was about to move in for round two when the heat in her face, and the rest of her body finally caught up with her.
Snapping to a quick moment of composure, she finally gained enough of her senses back to realize that Weiss herself had manage to provoke such a moment of intimacy from her…Blake just had to ask.
"You know, I've never seen you quite this confident…in this area."
Weiss having regained her breath, and realizing the implications of Blake's words, was briefly taken aback, but then flashed a wanting grin, her eyes complementing the emotion.
"Well, Ruby's semblance…and Ruby herself," she glanced down then back up, "have kind of rubbed off on me I guess."
Blake returned the look in kind, but then, against all inhibitions of her rising temperature, made an almost forced effort to calm herself. Indeed, the rush one could feel through Ruby's semblance was addicting, and had completely shifted their perspectives on self-confidence. And having a shared piece of her soul only added to it, combined with Yang's no-holding-back demeanor. Clearly her heat was starting to affect Weiss as well, thanks to the mark. But she knew that the heiress wasn't keen on impulsive acts. Especially like the one creeping into her thoughts. She started to reach for the pill.
"As much as this little thing has done for us, I'm still a faunus. And right now I really need that…" She looked at Weiss, small smile on her lips. She was about to find out how wrong she was about her mate's bashfulness.
Following the motion of Blake's hand, Weiss glanced at the pill then back to Blake. Against all her reservations, acting against everything she was supposed to be, she pulled the pill out of Blake's reach. And another grin popped on her face. "True, but you're my faunus." Her coy grin grew sultry
A look of brief shock came over Blake, and no small amount of emotions either.
Love. Excitement. Arousal.
"I'll always be your faunus Weiss. And Ruby's and Yang's too." Again, Blake had to fight against her growing urges. She reached again, only to have it quickly withdrawn again, her upper body now pressing on Weiss'. Faces inches apart and Weiss with that sultry tooth baring grin, eyes morphing into the gaze of a predator.
"Weiss…" Blake repeated, her will failing by the second.
As if without a thought, Weiss flicked her wrist, effectively tossing the pill with a miracle of precision, right into the trashcan with an audible clink. She brought her hands back to her lap, never once moving her face or breaking eye contact; that look still plastered on her face.
Blake stared dumbfounded, both in sheer amazement that she made the shot without even looking, and at Weiss' uncanny display of attitude and confidence. All the while maintaining that dust-damned, hormone triggering look.
This was it. Her last thread of resistance had been torn. Point of no return. It was over. 'Blake the Faunus in heat' had taken over.
She looked at Weiss, her face switching into huntress mode, sporting that same coy look Weiss started with. "Those are expensive y'know…"
With authority, Weiss only said, "Shut-up and kiss me, kitty-kat."
With a hearty shove, Weiss was on her back, lips locked with Blake. She only caught a glimpse of Blake's pupils morphing into her feline-like slits.
Emerald Forest Campsite – Late Evening
"Weeelllll…" Ruby started, her cloak seeming pale compared to her face; a face adorned with several comically sized beads of sweat.
Yang, sporting a mildly less dark blush, just scratched the back of her head, a crooked grin present as lavender eyes took half-second glances toward silver. "Yup"…emphasis on the 'p'.
It's not every day you watch a smut film with your sibling, of your polyamorous girlfriends doing the do. At least an actual vid could be turned off, or watched in a separate room. Unfortunately for these siblings, their relationship had some quirks.
And in this moment, they were very, very, very awkward quirks.
Ruby attempted to alleviate the palpable atmosphere with humor. "Like Sun said, this has got to be the weirdest team in history. Like…ever."
It didn't work.
"I can't believe it. Weiss has finally come out of her shell and turns out she's a bigger fiend than me. Now she's locked in a love tussle with my partner-our mate, and we're stuck out here." Yang couldn't help but feel a little jealous.
"We could always head back and uh…" Ruby started pointing her fingers together casting sideway glances at nothing; the crimson tide on her face unwavering.
"As fun as that would be Rubes…I can't help but feel that sisters crashing in and creating four-way orgy is just what the smut writers are waiting for…"
The idea of someone writing a story about their relationship entered Ruby's mind…a look of shock returned a small bit of color to her features. "Who would do that?"
A forlorn shrug was her only answer as the sisters stared into the fire and prepared to turn in for the night. Yang suddenly looked restless.
"On second thought…" she began, getting up and brushing herself off, "I might take a walk. Stay here Ruby."
"Uh, okay…?"
