AN: Since I'm a swimmer I've decided to make a story about hsm, that is somewhat connected with swimming. so here it goes. BTW, Troy and Chad isn't basketball players here. They are also, swimmers. But if you don't like the idea of them being swimmers just review and I'll make another version of this, being Gabriella, Sharpay and Taylor swimmers and Troy & Chad will be basketball players.
DISCLAIMER: I don't own high school musical.
Chapter 1:
Gabriella Montez is a transferee here at east high. She isn't smart as the others and the only forte she has is being a swimmer. So she decided that she would tryout for the school's swimming varsity team.
Taylor, the school's captain in swimming varsity started to speak. "My co-captain has transferred to our rival, West High, so I'm having a try-out for 2 spots in my team, a spot for a member and a spot for a co-captain. We will have 5 events, 50m butterfly, 50m backstroke, 50m breaststroke, 100m freestyle and 100m medley (AN: For those who don't know what medley is it's a swim that is composed of all the four strokes in this particular order; butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle.)
After the tryouts, Taylor already announced the ones who got the spots.
"Ok, with a time for 50m butterfly- 32.23 seconds, 50m backstroke which is 34.85 seconds, 50m breaststroke- 31.59, 100m freestyle- 1 min and 10.4 seconds, and 100m medley- 1 min 45 seconds, Sharpay Evans!!" Taylor said.
Sharpay screamed, "Oh.My.GOSH!!!"
"Ok, for the co-captain slot with a time for 50m butterfly- 29.67 seconds, 50m backstroke which is 38.47 seconds, 50m breaststroke-25.76, 100m freestyle- 59.43 seconds, and 100m medley- 1 min 15.18,Gabriella Montez!!" Taylor said.
"Sharpay, Gabriella come over here." Taylor ordered. "Our regional competition will be next week. So we must train 4 hours everyday starting last period."
"But how?" Gabriella asked.
"Don't worry, All varsity will be excused on the last period because all the teams have their competition and games next week. It's like some sort of an intramurals. So don't worry. By the way, After school meet me at the parking lot we've got something to do." Taylor commanded
MEANWHILE AT WEST HIGH
Troy and Chad are discussing their plans after school.
"Troy, Speedo is having their sale today. Maybe we can use the coupons to buy new trunks and other stuffs." Chad said.
"Sure, anyways, we don't have training for today, so we don't have something to do." Troy said.
Troy is West High's Swimming Varsity Captain and Chad is his co-captain. Pretty much, they are also joining the competition next week.
AFTER SCHOOL, PARKING LOT AT EAST HIGH
"Taylor, where are we going?" Sharpay asked.
"You'll see." Taylor said.
