Battle of the Apples

Braeburn has always loved the Apples, yet he felt a little differently towards Big Macintosh. More than what he should but he just can't help himself. He has plans to go down to the Apple Farm to help during the harvest season, since winter is approaching it'll be a difficult task. It doesn't help that Big Mac has found a mare who seems to love him as well, how will Brae survive?

1. chapter 1

Prologue

Fire rose up along the walls smoke rumbled its way outside. The big red stallion couldn't believe his teary green eyes. His heart was racing. It was as if it became a run-a-away train, and it was heading straight for a cliff. His family's barn was set aflame along with the three people he cared for, two of them like family and one he held even closer. Sweat trembled as it made its way down his soaked fur,

"Don't hurt' em!" he hollered at the hooded figure that slowly trailed along the mid-beam of the burning barn.

The smaller yellow stallon snorted as he carried a passed out Apple Bloom across his back. He could feel her small breaths become less and less the longer he stayed up on this roof. Black smoke and fiery embers flew passed him on their way to the midnight sky as if they were in such a hurry to get away from the show. To make things worse it was pouring down rain on top of them,

"Ya gotta listen to me!" he coughed trying not to inhale the burning clouds that came from beneath his hooves, "Yer actions 'ant gonna do anythang but cause harm!"

He could hear the stallon below but he could make out a single word. The unicorn in front of them made it clear that she wasn't going to give up her assualt. Even now, she was prepared to throw more flaming barrels of hay at him knowing he has no where left to go... but down. Through teary eyes the young stallion planted his hooves formly on the weak wood that made up the collasping roof snorting heavily his emerald eyes locked with the covered eyes of the mare in front of him her tattered cloak covering much of her face.

A wicked smile crawled along her snout,

"Then so be it."

Hey everybody! Its Eclisped here and I just wanna type down a few pointers. This first part is going to be smaller than most because it is a prologue and these things tend to typically give a brief glimps in either the past or future of the story. Everything else I will try my best to make longer. This is my first time on FanFiction so any help or mistake checks would be very helpful to have.
