Kakyoin found himself wandering aimlessly down a long stone corridor. As he walked what began to grow strange to him was how familiar everything seemed. The sconces lining the endless passageways. How the shadows cast by the flickering torches crawled and danced on the stones. It held a familiar vibe and yet Kakyoin knew he had never been here before.
In the beginning the only noise was the sound of his own footsteps. Slowly growing to accompany them was a distant melody like that of a music box. Forever walking in a straight line Kakyoin glanced down the corridors beginning to branch from his trying to find the source. Despite his desperation he never saw any sign.
Then suddenly Kakyoin became frozen in mid-stride. He looked around confused and upon looking down he saw that around his ankles chains had appeared. As he moved to try to worm out of them the torches alining the corridors surrounding him blew out at once. Freezing in his struggle the only thing Kakyoin was aware of became the music box whose noise had become louder.
Being forced to listen to it Kakyoin noted a sound hidden underneath the melody. The sound of footsteps. Someone was approaching him from one of the corridors and he had nowhere to run, and no way to protect himself. Forcing himself to beat back his terror Kakyoin began to struggle once again against the chains.
Then again from the darkness surrounding him came a new sound. Before he could be sure of what it was the feeling of something embedding itself in his flesh ripped through him. Objects long and sharp like crude arrows pierced him from the corridors. As Kakyoin cried out he felt his body jerk-
And he awoke sweating in his bed. Gathering his breath Kakyoin could still hear that eerie melody ringing in his ears.
