Okay so Im totally screwing around, but here's my first few thoughts on the book I'm hoping to write with my best friend. Neither of us have written before so cut me some slack!
The apocalypse had been years ago, but the world still suffers. People are rare, spread out amongst the habitable continents that used to be South America, Australia, and Antarctica. The plates have shifted since before, giving the planet a whole new look. No one knows what has become of North America, Europe, and Asia. We do however know that Africa is no longer capable of sustaining life, being as that was where the meteor struck. People had evolved a lot in the twenty third century, but the biggest advancement by far was that of time travel. The technology was only available to people of a very high status, however; anyone else had to criminalize their way into a time machine. Those of us who were one way or another able to access the new technology have found a new purpose.
Books were found many years ago to hold a near magical power. They can move you to cry, or laugh, or become so devout to the characters that its practically real life. But what would happen if the end to books were changed by an outside force? That's where we come in. We're the _. We travel in time. We change the end of books. We alter the past in hopes of correcting the present. Our times are threatened though. Certain books hold secrets that mustn't be revealed to the commoners. But He wants to do just that. He knows of the most powerful government book in existence, and He wants to change it. It is our job to stop him.
