"Oh don't stop on my account" Blair Waldorf criticised whilst walking past Chuck Bass on her way to school.
Following her he smirked and came back with a witty reply "Oh but I have to since, you see, second hand smoke is bad for the b-"
Whirling around Blair gave him one of her world famous glares. "Yes, Chuck, I am pregnant. So hello mistake so near in my past that I can clearly remember"
Reaching forward Chuck placed his hand on her stomach "You can't be serious"
"Don't touch me-" Blair replied whilst pushing his hand away. "Look if you wanted to tell Nate then you would have in Monaco but you didn't want him to hate you and you know he still will if you tell him now. So I guess it's up to me now. Well, us." Blair paused and pointed her eyes to the ground. "And you know what? Although it's yours, I don't want to get rid of it. I couldn't. It's a person, Chuck, and even though I am a heartless bitch who crushes people so much that they think they aren't worth anything … I would never kill anyone." She looked up into his eyes "I can't do this alone. I need you."
Stepping forward Blair then reached out with her hand to push Chuck's hair off of his forehead before kissing it and wrapping herself around him.
Having not been in this situation before, Chuck followed his instincts by lifting one hand to her waist and pulled her closer, whilst the other got tangled in her hair.
They stayed for a second, breathing in each others scent, before Blair removed her head from the crook of his neck, put her lips to his ear and whispered " I trust you. Don't leave me."
Pulling away she turned and walked up the courtyard steps without pausing to turn in case he caught sight of the tears threatening to fall from her eyes.
He watched her leave and the stood, freezing, on the cold stone floor before pulling out his phone and composing a text. His fingers hovered over the send button whilst his eyes flickered to the steps she had climbed only moments before. Then, without thinking, he had pressed his thumb onto the key, snapped his phone shut and walked to his own class.
Halfway up the stairs he received a text.
