This sort of music was never your thing. Neither were bright, flashing lights, nor parades, nor dancing.

So as you stood in the shadows of the parade float, directly behind the Sorceresses' throne you had a scowl on your face. You were just happy the crowd couldn't see your face under your hood. You wished they'd picked something decent to play, though. Well, your version of decent music and theirs was obviously very different. Even if they played something he would have liked, it would be better than what they were playing.

You glanced around at everyone in the crowd. Everyone seemed to be enjoying it. Even Seifer was, and he was the biggest asshole you'd ever met. You were both supposed to be on security detail, but it seemed like someone was getting carried away with the theatrics of it all.

Your eyes scanned over the crowds. With Seifer distracted, you were going to have to be responsible. Ugh, great. You let out a sigh. This sort of parade... If it were under different circumstances would you be enjoying it? Would you be complimenting the music and the dancing, not jeering at it, if you were with Irv-

You gripped the hilt of your blade tighter. You had made your decision. Thinking about that cowboy would only make you doubt it. It's not like you could go back on your choice now. But, if the time came, would you be able to betray him, of all people? For Sorceress Edea? Hopefully the fates that be would give you a break and you wouldn't have to make that choice anytime soon. You'd made enough hard choices of late.

You looked to the side and movement caught your eyes-someone was trying to sneak through the parade. Your eyes landed on his gunblade; much like the one Seifer was waving around everywhere. He was the same person who crashed the transmission after Seifer had and tried to stop him. The jacket, the hair-you made sure to memorise it. He was working for a rebel faction after all. One that had tried to kidnap the recently deceased President Deling. What had Seifer called him? Storm? Rain? Wind? Squall? Something like that. You were about to relay what you saw when he stopped and made a gesture for someone, possibly multiple people to follow him.

You paused, wanting to see just how many people he had with them, whether you had to be on the lookout for an assassination or be prepared for a head-to-head fight.

Your hand fell from your sword upon seeing the person. He wore same hat you'd seen a million times, with his auburn hair in the same style as always. His look hadn't changed a bit since you left the Garden weeks ago. You just couldn't catch a break, could you?

But why would a SeeD from Galbadia be following a Balamb SeeD around? It wasn't because the Forest Owls had hired him, you knew they wouldn't have been able to from what Seifer told you. No, this had the opportunity to be something bigger. It was no secret Edea wanted Galbadia Garden under her control . . . and Headmaster Martine is no idiot. If this went wrong he could always blame it on the SeeD from Balamb.

That was just one possibility of many. Maybe they were hired by someone. The late Vinzer Deling wasn't very well liked, after all. Maybe they were hired by someone with the money and the smarts to organise an assassination attempt... Regardless they are here. And you're working with Edea. But . . . that doesn't mean you have to betray Irvine.

You unfolded your arms and carefully moved around Edea's throne. "I count at least two SeeDs. One was at the Timber Station. I do not recognise the other. But be on the lookout for a sniper." You notified Edea and Seifer.
