It was a dark time for Senaria. After the peacetalks failed a great war broke out out. Those who were wealthy enough fled the planet , but the rest were left behind to suffer the consequences of being greedy. Even those who were innocent and content with what they had were not spared the tragedy of the nuclear attacks. After years of war only one person remained. A young girl about the age of six. She had somehow survived the radiation and explosions, as well as the rampant cannibalism. Her hair was black as jet and her skin was a ghostly white. Peering out from behind her bangs were two vibrant ruby eyes. Her frame was small and thin from the lack of nourishment. Her clothes, although tattered and torn, were those those of the upperclass. Her family had fled before the war broke out, leaving her behind to fend for herself. She was lucky though, a woman who had lost her only child days before the nightmare took pitty on her and allowed her maternal instincts to take over. She cared for the small girl as a mother would and made sure she was fed and kept safe from the dangers outside of the bunker. As the days turned to months and the months to years the woman would go out and gather food for herself and the child. One day the woman did not return, and the small girl remained in the bunker for a few weeks, hungry, cold, and afraid. The woman had warned her never to venture out of the bunker but it had been so long, and she was so hungry and lonely. She had left the bunker and wandered aimlessly through the destruction and droves of dead bodys, calling out for a woman she called mama. The heat was unbarable and no food was to be found. She came upon the remaines of her old home. She took refuge in the closet beneath the stairs that were remarkably still in tact. As night fell the little girl stayed in the shelter crying from hunger, fear, and sarrow. She had been forgotten, by her family, by the world, by time. She didn't even remember her name. She drifted off to sleep, unaware of the figure that approached the small sanctuary.
She found herself in a strange world. It was night time and the ground was covered in a deep garnet snow that never melted. There was no warmth, no cold, there was nothing. As she walked on she came across a black lake whos smooth mirror-like surface seemed to reflect a full moon and stars, but when she looked up at the sky it was covered in clouds and small flakes of shimmering crimson snow drifted down softly. She didn't feel hungry any more. She felt safe. a small house formed of crystal rose from the the snow. Inside was a table with food and juice for her.
When she woke up she was being carried by a strange creature it the body of a man but the head of a dog and he was covered in blue scales. He looked down at her as he carried her onto a ship and smiled softly.
"You're safe now." he said in a warm gentle voice.
