As Alec ran through the pouring rain all he could think about was getting to Magnus. He had not seen his warlock in over a week and had promised himself that he would not let another minute go by without seeing him. As he turned the corner,Alec
could finally see it; Magnus' loft.
Alec ran up the stair as fast as he could, taking the steps in two as he got to the top. He was so close he couldn't stop now no matter how tired he was. He walked towards the door and was about to knock when he thought 'What if Magnus is sleeping? He
couldn't wake him up, Magnus had given him a keya couple of months ago, he should just use it to save any bother.'
With this Alec fished the keyout of his jeans and openedthe door, he shut it behind him and listened out for Magnus but no one spoke. Alec was right, Magnus was asleep. With this Alec took of his jacket, weaponsand combat boots, placing
them by the door in a spot Magnus had left clear for his things.
Alec creeped across the wooden floor board towards Magnus' bedroom, the door slightly open allowing the moon light to filter through and lighten up the warlock's face.
Alec walked into the room and closed the door, slowly taking off his T-shirt and jeans that were soaked through because of the rain. Alec climbed into the bed andhuddled up to Magnus and put an arm around him. This was when he heard the high pitch
squeal as Magnus abruptly woke up. " Wha...Alec...when...why are you so cold?" Magnus squealedas he moved away from the ice cold touch of Alec skin.
Alec quickly realised his mistake andtired to apologise,"I'm sorry Magnus I didn'tmean to wake you, I didn't think I was that cold, I'm sorry." Alec tried to push away from Magnus, but instead the warlock pulled the shadowhunters against him."It's
fine it just shocked me, please don't move away, stay next to me I can warm you up."
Alec looked into Magnus' eye and nodded. Moving his head to rest against Magnus' chest, he already felt so much better just having Magnus hold him.
They stayed like this for the rest of the night just holding each other, protecting one another and making sure to show each other how much they lived the other. Nights like these were exactly what the pair needed to get away from their hectic lives,
but for these moments all of it was worth it.
