Narnia. It was found by two young children, a witch, and an old man. Well, the kids did the most really. As far as finding it goes that is. The old man was a "captive" of the witch. Weak minded fool. But that's not what this part of the story is about, its about temptation and trial and pain and punishment.

The "man" that started it out of darkness with his roar, who started life as it was in this new world. Aslan. After his first creation of Narnia, he disappears for a good score. During this time the reign of the White witch was at hand. Aslan would not be seen during this time and his name would be taboo.

A son of Adam and a daughter of Eve, the original humans of Narnia, and now to repeat it there were two sons and two daughters. They would be kings and queens and reign at Cair Paravel and rule until they found their way home. Their reign was prosperous as well as dangerous. When Aslan did return it was merely to let himself die. All to "destroy the magic of old with magic even older", to be a perfect sacrifice for the narnians that were at risk. He allowed himself to pay the ultimate price for the ultimate gift.

This was done in the dark of night, with only the hordes of evil and the daughters of Eve as witnesses. The White witch wants reparations to the life she has lost and Aslan seems to be perfect.

The temptation and trial began and took place and ended in a span of a few minutes. The witch wastes no time in killing him but takes her time in torturing with her magic. Mentally, Aslan was being tried. The vision of a world where he was the ruler of all kingdoms. "Give me the land of Narnia and all this will be yours Aslan. As well as your life. You can have it all."

What does the lion, ready and willing to sacrifice himself, say? "Witch, do not tempt me. I created this world. It is already mine."

Fine than thought the witch, I have other ways of attaining what I want. All I need is for him to submit. Next move: the sons and daughters of Adam and eve. A quick jerk back to reality and then to overlooking the war camp of Peter and Edmond, "you are willing to sacrifice yourself for these savages? They want to go to war over you and land, land which has no value to them. They are not from here, they plan on taking this all for themselves. Submit and it will all be undone. You shall be king and not perish."

"Man cannot live on violence alone. But it is necessary to end oppression before sustenance can be gained. Man is welcome, man shall rule." All this was getting to the white witch and she began to lose patience. Her plans were not working. She had been a queen, had destroyed a whole world! And she couldn't force a lion to submit. Reasoning was obsolete now. Now for pain!

Another jerk to reality, but this time they stuck. For a moment Aslan couldn't hear, but then the screams of the horde became all too real. "Nothing has changed your mind. You will bow to me willingly, or you will bow by lack of strength. Now, die and bow!". With that, the end came. She brought down her shears and cut his hair, and now his throat as well.

The two children began to cry, but softly, they were still in danger. They new not what had happened in the lions head, but they knew they were queens and as such were needed to lead. When the hordes had gone, which felt like it took days, and then they approached his body. It was broken and sad. There were ropes holding him down, and in a futile attempt to help his body they began tearing at the knots.
