A Black Yarn
Some people think I'm a trouble maker
But I'm not
I just wear black a lot
I knit in public
Everyone says, "That's cute"
But I think they're afraid I'll stab them in the eye
And I might
I've been halfway naked with my boyfriend

We were going to go all the way naked
But we didn't and I can't remember why
I haven't seen Alice since KnitWit closed
She wrote a book
And I didn't read it
But I don't feel bad because Amanda didn't either
Scottie read it
She even used a pattern from it to make a scarf
I didn't know scarves could be so ugly
I mean, how do you screw up a scarf?
Yeah, a hat maybe, but a scarf is a big square
Don't make stuff more complicated than it has to be
Bella took up crochet
Amanda taught her
Now she's crocheting stuff to sell so she can make money to buy more yarn
This is in addition to the job at the yoga studio
Really, how much yarn can you buy?
My god, I sound like my mother
Maybe I am a trouble maker
But I don't think so
After all, I only stabbed one guy with a knitting needle
Besides, black is cool
And you can find a lot of black yarn
