He didn't want to do it, but he had to.

Remus Lupin had just been through the toughest night of his life. He had to leave his wife and newborn son to fight for the sake of good, he had to be confronted by the fact his wife wasn't going to stay home and wait to hear of his death. The hardest part of all that, you ask? He also had to watch as his wife was killed at the hands of her own aunt.

Remus had gone crazy, cutting down three death eaters at a time, including Bellatrix. After the battle, he left to find her. She hadn't even been touched in the heat of the battle.

Her pale face and beautiful pink hair were the same as he saw them when she was killed. He had carried her into the Great Hall and left.

Now, he was back at her mothers house. His reason? Their son was there. Their beautiful baby, who would now never know his mother, was upstaris, sleeping in his crib, not knowing his mother had left this world, fighting to protect him.

He opened the door to shouts of 'Nymphadora?'. Andromeda had obviously been crying, her eyes were big and puffy.

"Oh, Remus...where is Nymhpadora?" He was not prepared to give her the answer.

"I'm...sorry...She...she didn't make it." He left the hurt mother to cry as he went to tend to his now crying son.

He entered the nursery and walked straight to the crib where the little 8 week old Teddy was crying. Upon seeing his father, he stopped. He streached his little arms, trying to grab his father. Remus beant down and scooped up the little boy, and held him close as he sat down on one of the chairs in the room.

He pulled out his wand from his beanth his cloak. A small silver cameleon appered and circled just above Teddy's head. He changed his hair to the brightest pink ever imaginable.

A single tear fell down the side of Remus Lupin's face.

"Just like your mother.."
