Warren snarled.
He was not in a good mood. Stronghold was driving him crazy. He was always there, forcing him to go to the movies, malls, and parties.
He was the son of the supervillian, Baron Battle. Before that Superman wanna-be and all of his stooges started bothering him, no one wanted to be near him. Now he was considered a...
... a...
... nice guy.
It was disgusting and left a horrible taste in his mouth.
It probably didn't help that he had taken to defending Glowstick, Popsicle, and Catfood from bullies either. Well, the bullies were more often then not after Popsicle and Glowstick. They knew that Little-Miss-I-Turn-Into-A-Purple-Rodent wasn't the best target to pick on. She would find some way to get them back, most likely in a painful or humiliating way, probably both.
So now he had started to play Hero to those pathetic losers. He also had to play White-Knight-In-Shining-Armor every time that it looked like Hippie and Stronghold's relationship was on the fritz. With all the talks that he gave those two idiots, he was qaulified to become a marriage counseler when he graduated.
Why did he let those idiots make him do these things?
There was Stronghold again, coming to draw him out of his nice dark corner, and into the light of day to...gasp...SOCIALIZE.
"Hey Warren, we're going to see that new horror movie at the multiplex. You're coming, right?" Stronghold asked with a blinding smile. Hippie and the other losers stood behind him with their backpacks already in hand to leave.
Now he remembered why he let them make him do those things. He liked it (No.) when someone smiled at him like that. He liked it (NO!) when they all did things together, because it was fun, and they were his friends. (NOOOOOO!)
What was worse was that he liked them. (NOOOOOOO!)
"War? You coming or not?" Stronghold's vioce drew him out of his tormenting thoughts.
Warren gave a long suffering sigh. "Sure, Will, just let me get my homework."
The idiots all grinned at him. Warren felt a warm feeling go through him, and gave a brief whimper as he realized that he didn't just like them.
He loved them. (NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!)
"No," he whispered.
"No what, War?" Stronghold asked.
"Just thinking about telling Mom I flunked Madula's last test," Warren lied.
"Ouch, man," Will said in sympathey.
'Why me?'
