It was a beautiful evening in France. Enjolras and his little sister Cosette were in the library reading their favorite books. Fantine had a long and hard day at work, so did Jean. When Enjolras walked in the room followed by Cosette and their dog that they found on the streets one time with their friends. "Mom, Dad I was wondering if it's OK if me and Cosette can go to Eponine's house tomorrow." Enjolras asked. Fantine and Jean were always weary of the Thenardeirs, they loved Eponine, Azelma, and Gavroche. After a bit of thinking they told Enjolras it was alright. In the middle of the night, Fantine was downstairs still in her nightdress when Jean came down to see if she was alright. "Are you alright Fantine?" he asked. When Fantine looked at him, she could still see the man she fell in love with. "I'm alright. I just wish Enjolras and Cosette had a easier early childhood." She said in a soft voice. Enjolras and Cosette always had to snuggle close to Fantine on cold nights when they 4 and 2 years old. "They'll have an easier childhood here. A home to sleep peacefully at night and feel safe." Jean said while walking over to Fantine and taking her in his arms. "Remember on our wedding night? When we were dancing and someone was singing the most beautiful song we ever heard in our lives. It was as beautiful as you and Cosette." Jean Said with a smile on his face. Fantine smiled at him as he started to sing with her when she started.

Jean and Fantine ended their dance with the kiss and going up the the stairs to chuck on Enjolras and Cosette who were still asleep. Jean and Fantine walked over to their two sleeping children and gave them a kiss on the head and in a soft voice. "Goodnight, Enjolras and Cosette. We'll see you in the morning." They said in kind and soft voices. When they went back their own room Jean gave Fantine a loving kiss and said "Goodnight Fantine." he said. "Goodnight Jean Valjean." Fantine said. They fell asleep and dreamed of the day of their wedding.
