Unpredictable

In the beginning, Nami hated dealing with the weather. She learned to predict the weather, in order to navigate the sea, so she could get one step closer to her dream of drawing a world map. The problem was, predicting the weather demanded too much of her time. The more time she had to spend on deck, watching the weather & navigating the sea, the less time she got to spend with her maps, with things she loved.

Money, mikans, and maps. The three things that Nami loved most. They didn't change. They were set. Predictable. That's why they were so precious to her.

Unlike the weather, which was always changing. Unpredictable. It irritated Nami to no end.

But then she met them. And somewhere along the way, something happened. She learned to cherish the weather. To enjoy unpredictability. To take pride in the fact that no matter what kind of weather she faced, she could navigate it. With her Clima-Tact, she learned to map the weather itself. It became part of her strength.

Just like her nakama.

They were always changing – their impulsiveness exasperated her – but at the same time, part of her thrilled at each new adventure, every little change. Their abilities, the resolve of the crew was constantly growing, always changing. They accomplished things she didn't think were possible. But they did it. Their resolve, their will - it affected everything, including her. They were wild, unpredictable.

But if anyone could map the unpredictable, it would be her.

Because she was the navigator for the future Pirate King and his crew.
