I would like to state the irony
Of this website's having a section on Shakespeare
And not allowing writers
To submit stories in a "script" format.
I'm pretty sure that's what Shakespeare did
And I'm pretty sure that's what playwrights
Of all ages have done
And I'll be damned that if I'm an aspiring playwright,
I'll write plays, dammit,
Not novels.
And that's why I'm not going to write a novel-style fanfic
Or a poem-style fanfic
Of Macbreath or Meatlet or Foameo and Fuliet.
Because they were PLAYS, dammit.
Also, here's something to think about.
Wouldn't it be ironic
If the meaning of the word "irony"
was different than we thought it was?
