A/N: As much as I love the show & how everything is with that, I've decided to go along with the ideas bubbling in my brain to change things around a bit. So here's how things have changed compared to the show – things that you guys should know without me giving away parts of the story that should be uncovered one at a time.

Bellamy and Octavia are not siblings – in fact, Bellamy is NOT a part of the 100. So with that said, the background story with some people changes. Finn and Clarke never got together nor do they like each other. Finn and Raven are also not together. Wells was never in the picture. Lincoln and Octavia have not met...yet.

For everything else – it will come as the story unfolds. Enjoy! And do let me know what you think!

She sat right up, clutching her blanket while she tried to still her racing heart. She took a few deep breaths, trying to get her breathing back to normal.

"Clarke?" someone whispered as the figure to her right moved to sit up. "You okay?"

Clarke sighed and ran her hand through her hair. "Yes O, I'm fine. Go back to sleep" she answered back tiredly. "Just a dream." 'Or a nightmare' she thought to herself. Clarke could barely make out the figure of her friend in the darkness; it was still dark and the silence in their tent was deafening.

"That's what you said yesterday." Clarke could hear the concern in her friend's voice and can picture the frown that is probably already adorning the girl's face. She felt a rustling of material and soon enough she felt someone sitting beside her on her sleeping bag. She felt a hand gripped hers in the dark, warm and comforting. Though strong and stubborn most of the time, Octavia Blake will never fail to play the comforting role for those she cares about. "You're still thinking about last week." Octavia accused. "I thought we've already discussed this – it was not your fault."

Clarke sighed again. "I know that. It's just…"

"It's just nothing. We needed food. We went hunting. We didn't know Grounders existed. They came out of nowhere."

"I know but…"

"But you tried to save them. You did the best you could and no one could ask for more than that. And the two people we had to leave behind, they were already gone Clarke, you know that."

Clarke clenched her eyes close trying to get the pictures of the events Octavia was describing out of her head. It's only been two weeks since they've reached their new home and already the numbers have dwindled from 100 to 95. The "100 camp" as they so called it, not particularly creative by any means, was low on supplies and food, so a group of the older kids went to hunt and gather supplies that would be useful around the camp. It was then they realized that they were not alone on Earth, as a group of Grounders came and attacked the group. She remembered screaming at the group to run back to camp and looking at the two bodies that were already lying unmoving on the ground.

Three others were wounded during the raid and Clarke all she could to stop the bleeding to no avail. 5 causalities in one day.

"You did everything you could – it wasn't you fault." the younger girl's voice was firm. Clarke felt the grip on her hand tighter.

"I just wished I had more supplies, then I would have been able to do something more."

"Me and you both. They dropped us down here with barely anything, like we were put on a suicide mission."

Clarke silently chuckled, "Unfortunately we are on a suicide mission remember?"

Her friend grinned, "Well someone is trying to be positive!"

"Can you guys shut up? Some of us are trying to sleep" another voice called out, clearly annoyed.

Octavia giggled, "Sorry Ray. We'll let you get your beauty sleep." Clarke smiled as she glanced over at the other sleeping figure in the tent. Raven snorted before rolling over to glance at the two sitting on the other side of the tent. "And for the love of God C, listen to what the girl said. Not your fault." the girl yawned and rolled over to her original sleeping position. "Now will the two of you shut your traps please, I need to sleep so I can work tomorrow."

"Work or go spend time with your hunka-nerdy-lover boy" Octavia teased.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Raven countered.

"What it's true! I've seen those stares Ray – Wick is pretty easy on the eyes. I mean if you don't go for it, I wo…"

"O,don't make me come over there."

Clarke smiled again listening to her two friends bicker in the dark. She slowly got up and looked down at Octavia. "I'm going to just take a breath of fresh air. And before you say anything, I'm not going outside the walls and I'll come back and sleep, happy?"

"Ecstatic," came the reply.

Clarke made her way towards the edge of her tent, opened the flap and stepped outside to be hit by a cool gentle summer breeze. Her eyes wandered around their camp lit by makeshift torches. 'Not bad for the first couple of weeks out on our own' Clarke thought to herself as she looked around the tents scattered around the drop ship.

She took a step towards the fire pit the group has made in the middle of the camp and felt uneasy. She shivered and glanced around the camp to see if something was amiss.

Something felt off.

Clarke sighed again. Ever since the incident three days ago, she was always on the edge. Knowing there were other people on Earth when it was supposed to be abandoned came as a shock. Knowing that these people wanted to kill them, well that was another story. She wanted to just run away, hide in a cave and never come out again, but her friends and the rest of the 100 looked up to her to take charge. She didn't want the leadership role, but since no one else wanted to step up to the plate, she knew she had to do it.

Clarke closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Deciding to get back to bed, she turned towards her tent and felt another chill. She shrugged it off and slowly made her way back.

A rustle to her left made her stop dead in her tracks as she felt her heart beat as fast as it did when she woke up not too long ago. She glanced in the direction of the noise to find nothing.

Then something came behind her and before she could scream a hand covered her mouth.

"Don't say a word princess," a voice whispered in her ear.

And then black.
