A/N: Hey guys! I'm here with another story. This is an AU story of what happened after the Battle against the Red Death. It has been inspired by one of my favourite stories which will revealed at the end of this chapter. I don't want to give any spoilers yet ;) Please read and review. Enjoy!

Chapter 1: The Wish

Stoick Haddock took one last glance of his house, with his children and their Night Furies inside, before he made his way to the Great Hall for dinner. He tried to convince his daughter, Hicca, to come with him but the girl adamantly refused, not wanting to leave her brother, Hiccup who was still in a coma after the battle that took place in Dragon Island. Stoick sighed. Clearly his stubbornness has been passed to both of his children. If it wasn't for the fact that Hicca already made herself dinner and presented a valid point that anything could happen to Hiccup while they were gone, he would have tried to drag his daughter to the Great Hall. 'Although' he thought 'I probably wouldn't have been able to drag her anyway with those two beasts present.'

As soon as he set foot inside the Great Hall, all the villagers stopped their conversations and turned to their chief. Gobber came up to his best friend and spoke up what was on everyones' minds. "How is he?"

Stoick knew this was coming. "He's getting better. His fever is gone for now. Hicca is doing everything she can to maintain that."

"She is still sticking with her vow to not leave the house until her brother wakes up, eh?" Gobber asked knowingly.

Stoick nodded and then turned to Astrid and Raeda. "Do you two think you can convince Hicca to go outside for a bit tomorrow when you see her?"

"We can try our best chief, but we can't guarantee that she will agree." Raeda answered.

"Yeah, it's hard to tell who is more stubborn; her or Hiccup." Astrid agreed.

This caused everyone to chuckle. Stubbornness was certainly a gift and a curse for the Haddock twins.

There was silence in the Great Hall for a moment as everyone started contemplating for a bit. Gobber finally broke the silence and voiced in what everyone was thinking of. "Hiccup, Hicca and two Night Furies. Who knew, eh?"

The villagers agreed to that. "How in the world did those two managed to pull off befriending two of the most feared dragons known to Vikings?" Spitelout asked.

The chief had no reply. He was still trying to learn more of the two children he has been neglecting for years.

"All I know is that they have been keeping this secret ever since you guys left to search for the Nest." Astrid said.

"I once asked Hicca about that. She said it was a long story and that she would tell when her brother comes out from his coma." Raeda spoke up.

"That would take a long time though. We don't know when Hiccup is going to wake up." Fishlegs pointed out.

Gobber sighed. "I really wish I knew how those two did it."

Everyone mentally agreed to that. They were all really curious to know how to of the scrawniest teens, who could barely lift any weapon except daggers, managed to tame two Night Furies. Even the dragons wanted to know how two feared dragons of the archipelago became so close to two human Vikings. What no one knew, however, was that a shooting star was passing by high in the sky. It then started to glow.

Everyone, humans and dragons, were in shock of what happened next. The inside of the Great Hall was flooded with a bright light, blinding everyone inside. The light suddenly disappeared and it took a minute for everyone to adjust their eyes to their surroundings and when they did, they saw a large, flat, dark grey surface appear in front of them.

Stoick cautiously approached the surface. "What is this?" He asked. Neither Viking nor dragon knew the answer.

Everyone gasped in shock when the screen suddenly turned white with a message written across:

WELCOME VIKINGS AND DRAGONS. THE SHOOTING STAR HAS HEARD YOUR WISH AND GRANTED IT. WHAT YOU'RE ABOUT TO SEE ON THIS SCREEN WILL EXPLAIN EXACTLY HOW HICCUP AND HICCA BEFRIENDED TOOTHLESS AND MIDNIGHT. IT WILL START AT THE DRAGON RAID WHERE THEY CLAIMED THEY SHOT DOWN TOOTHLESS AND WILL END WITH THE BATTLE AT THE DRAGONS' NEST. THIS WILL EVEN GIVE YOU A GLIMPSE OF WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE TWINS AFTERWARDS. ALSO, STARTING FROM NOW, TIME OUTSIDE THE GREAT HALL HAS BEEN FROZEN AND WILL UNFREEZE UNTIL THIS STORY ENDS. SO FOR HICCA, MIDNIGHT AND TOOTHLESS ONLY A SECOND WILL HAVE PASSED BY. ENJOY!

Everyone looked at the screen with awe.

"Hah! I knew wishes on shooting stars can come true!" Gobber said gleefully.

"'Afterwards?' Does that mean we're going to get a glimpse in the future?" Fishlegs asked eagerly.

"There's only one way to find out." Raeda answered.

All the dragons and Vikings gathered around the screen and watched excitedly as a picture started to form on the screen.
