Thursday nights were monopoly nights at the bunker. It was a way to have fun doing something as different from hunting as possible. It was fun, even though it could lead to fights which ended with a couple of days of angry silence.
The tradition had started when Cas had found the game's box in one of the old storage rooms. After Dean had explained the game to him, he had insisted they take a night off to play it. Castiel was, as it turns out, great at Monopoly.
Sam and Dean could never manage to beat him. Kevin had also tried, but he had given up after the first few games. Now he just sat next to them and laughed at their failures.
But that would end tonight. Sam and Dean had each made a plan to overthrow Castiel, the king of monopoly. Dean had prepared his best tricks and was going to cheat his way to victory. Sam had asked Kevin for help and together they had put together 'The unbeatable plan'.
The tension was high. Dean used every trick he had he conned and bluffed, he lied and faked. Meanwhile Sam was carefully consulting every move with Kevin. They would win, whatever the cost. They. Would. WIN!
The game ends at 4 o'clock in the morning. Everything is silent. Empty bags of chips lay scattered around the table. Then, as everyone comes to terms with what just happened, Dean's voice rings out.
„How did you manage to fucking do that? I used my best tricks. If this was poker there would be piles of chips in front of me."Kevin nods and adds: „Sam and I constructed an unbeatable plan. We thought of everything. There is no way you could have won."
Castiel just leans back, looking smug and answers:"I guess Thursday is just my lucky day."
